Kids Gardening Club

At Stark Park, young children ages 3 to 6 can take part in a nature-centered, play-based outdoor workshop that explores plants, herbs, and the natural world through movement, creativity, and sensory-rich experiences. Each session encourages curiosity and confidence as children learn through hands-on exploration and guided play. Participants explore herbs and natural materials by touching, smelling, and observing, enjoy simple discovery games and guided outdoor play, and complete a hands-on activity during each session. Children take home a small project or creation they made themselves. Activities may include sensory herb identification, nature-based movement and discovery games, simple herbal projects such as sachets or blends, and creative making with natural materials. Every class follows a simple, engaging rhythm with a welcome circle, time for exploration, a focused activity, movement or play, and a closing reflection. Wildflower Apothecary Workshop

Settle into a cozy botanical workshop and craft three self-care pieces inspired by old-world apothecaries and natural beauty rituals. You will design a preserved floral herbarium by arranging dried blooms in mineral oil inside a corked glass bottle. Kept away from direct sunlight, this elegant keepsake can remain beautiful for more than a decade and serves as lasting floral art for your home. Next, create a lavender sugar scrub and hand paint the glass jar with delicate lavender motifs. The scrub gently polishes dry skin to leave it soft and smooth, while the calming scent adds a spa-like touch to your routine. Finally, blend a personalized botanical perfume oil in a roller bottle using lavender, chamomile, rose, or vanilla. Choose a single note or combine favorites for a signature fragrance. All materials and step-by-step instruction are included, and no prior experience is required. Participants leave with three handmade creations perfect for gifting or enjoying at home. $70 per guest.

Schedule a Free Personalized Fitting & Test Walk at Manchester Good Feet Store Call (603) 945-1460

Experience a free personalized fitting and test walk at the Manchester Good Feet Store, created to help people move more comfortably. For more than three decades, The Good Feet Store has supported millions in local communities with solutions designed to enhance comfort and alignment. The team is made up of local residents who understand the demands of everyday life at work and at home, providing individualized attention rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. People who spend long hours on their feet, including nurses, retail associates, warehouse teams, and teachers, often find meaningful relief, with many noticing a difference within minutes during the test walk. The fitting focuses on arch supports designed to improve how the body functions from the feet upward, aiming to support knees, hips, and back through a biomechanical approach to better movement. Each appointment includes a complimentary foot check, one-on-one fitting, the chance to try the supports before purchasing during a test walk, and follow-up care from store associates. There is no pressure or obligation, only an opportunity to feel the results for yourself.

Monster Hunt

Set out on a downtown scavenger hunt that turns finding art into making art. Handmade clay monsters are hidden around the city, but seekers will be looking for reusable Monster Medallions. Trade a found medallion at Studio 550 for a one-of-a-kind monster to keep. Everyone is asked to take only one so the fun can be shared widely. Families with very young children can start with a mini hunt reserved for ages 5 and under in the green space in front of the Center of NH. There are 25 monsters set aside for this youth round, and every child receives a free monster sticker whether or not a clay creature is found. The public, all-ages search begins with a quick kickoff gathering at City Hall Plaza where participants receive rules, tips, and a few prizes, then set out to explore. Hiding spots are focused in the heart of downtown along Elm Street, all in public places and often near public art or everyday locations that reward a closer look. Back at Studio 550, the celebration continues with low-cost or free hands-on activities open to everyone. Options include sculpting a clay monster, trying the pottery wheel, creating a plant habitat for a new monster friend, tie-dyeing a Studio 550 shirt or tote, bubble painting led by 2-D instructor Mattea Schevey, sidewalk chalk, monster-themed paper crafts, and rock painting. Monster finders are also entered into a raffle for a Studio 550 gift card. Sweet extras add to the fun. A handful of downtown businesses will offer specials or activities for those who find a monster, and the Manchester City Library BookMobile will be at City Hall Plaza for anyone to visit. Queen City Cupcakes will have monster cupcakes for finders. No purchase is necessary, and participants are encouraged to linger downtown to eat, explore, and enjoy what the city has to offer.
