April Baseball & Softball Camp presented by the Elliot Health System

Designed for ages 6 to 15, this baseball and softball camp blends four to five days of group instruction with a fun, supportive atmosphere. Coaching is offered in both sports and sessions continue rain or shine. Every participant receives a camp T-shirt and a complimentary ticket to the Friday game during their camp week, with the option to purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate. Book Launch: Manchester Through the Lens of Frank Kelly

A book launch will celebrate the release of Manchester Through the Lens of Frank Kelly, highlighting the work of a leading mid-20th-century Manchester photographer. The collection features rarely seen photographs of local businesses and significant moments, including several presidential visits to the Queen City. Duane Betts & Palmetto Hotel

Duane Betts & Palmetto Hotel bring a performance to The Rex Theatre centered on the kind of guitar forward, story rich American rock and roll he has been shaping for nearly two decades. Betts has shared the stage for ten years with his father, Dickey Betts, released the EP Sketches of American Music, and co-founded the Allman Betts Band, all while developing a clear artistic voice. His debut solo album, Wild & Precious Life, reflects that vision with songs at its core and vivid musicianship. For the recording, he assembled Johnny Stachela, Berry Duane Oakley, John Ginty, and Tyler Greenwell, tracking live to 2 inch analog tape at Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks' Swamp Raga Studio in Jacksonville. Slam Free or Die

Slam Free Or Die brings its ongoing poetry open mic to Stark Brewing Company in Manchester, with an open mic for poets and spoken word artists followed by a featured set from performance poet and voice actor RJ Walker. RJ Walker, based in Salt Lake City, has competed at the National Poetry Slam multiple times representing Salt Lake City and Sugar House. He reached the final stage showcase at the Individual World Poetry Slam and placed sixth overall in 2017. His accolades include the NPS Spirit of the Slam award for organizing the first Compliment Deathmatch, a fourth place finish at the National Poetry Slam with the Salt City Unified team the following year, and a winning video in the Button Poetry contest. He hosts The Greenhouse Effect Open Mic, known as Salt Lake City’s longest running and most popular open mic event. His poem Deceit & I went viral on YouTube and Imgur and was featured by outlets such as A Plus, EMS1, and EMSWorld, accumulating more than 500,000 views. His collection The Ghost Was Always The Machine is published by Blue Sketch Press. The performance space can be entered from the back of the building without stairs, and there is a ramp through the main bar for access to ADA compliant restrooms. At The Rex Theatre, four New England headliners come together for a comedy showcase built around life in the classroom. Mark Riley, formerly an NHL hockey referee and teacher, brings that background to the mic. Dan Crohn, seen on Comedy Central and featured on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, teaches by day and takes the stage at night. Mr. B, also known as Jim Bowes, is a full-time Massachusetts teacher who has spent the last decade performing around Boston. Bill Douglas began performing in 2018 and draws much of his material from years spent teaching middle school science. The result is an evening of laughs rooted in the everyday realities of teaching and school life.

Footloose: The Musical

Footloose: The Musical takes the stage at The Palace Theatres with a high-energy story rooted in the 1980s film. In a town where dancing is banned, a daring teen from the city challenges the rules, setting change in motion and kindling a new romance. Manchester Vegan Chef Challenge

A month-long celebration of plant-based cuisine takes place across Manchester as restaurants introduce limited-time vegan creations crafted by local chefs. Participants can explore participating spots around the city, taste exclusive menu items, and share their experiences by voting, commenting, and posting photos of favorite dishes. The show brings together new drawings and paintings made entirely during the residency, offering a look at how setting, close observation, and community influence an artist’s process. Quady works in plein air and figurative modes, rendering the surrounding environment with expressive brushwork and classic oil techniques. Blommel explores the human form and emotional narrative, layering charcoal and shape to craft imagery that blends realism with a quiet sense of the surreal. Investigative journalist Mariah Blake gives the keynote; she is the author of They Poisoned the World: Life and Death in the Age of Forever Chemicals, recognized as one of the best books of 2025 by The Washington Post and Scientific American. A solutions focused panel led by NHPR's Jason Moon highlights Mara Hoplamazian and their work on NHPR's Safe to Drink podcast, followed by a live Q and A with Mara and panelists Victor Davila, Community Organizer and Clean Water Director of Slingshot Vermont, and Julia Varshavsky, MPH, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Environmental Health at Northeastern University. The Livingston Park Foundation is organizing a volunteer cleanup focused on removing litter from Livingston Park, the DW Highway, and Dorrs Pond. One Night in Memphis brings the music of Sun Records legends to the stage, honoring Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley. This live concert features performers from the Broadway hit Million Dollar Quartet and runs for more than 90 minutes with rockabilly, country, gospel, and 1950s rock and roll. The San Francisco Examiner has offered strong praise for the production.

Intro to Shotgun in collaboration with WDL, Iron Rose & We The Female

An introductory shotgun class presented in collaboration with Iron Rose Women’s Shooting Club, We The Female, and the Women’s Defense League of NH. The day starts at Manchester Firing Line with guidance on safety, core handling skills, and what to expect on the range. The group then heads to Londonderry Fish & Game Club for a provided lunch of pizza and water, followed by hands-on shooting practice under instruction. Designed for women who are new to shotguns or aiming to build confidence and refine technique in a supportive setting. All equipment is included.

Southern New Hampshire Cars and Coffee

Southern New Hampshire Cars and Coffee is back at its previous location at the Comcast parking lot in Manchester. All makes and models are welcome, whether arriving solo or with a group, with plenty of chances to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Attendees are asked to bring a canned good or a monetary donation for the NH Food Bank to enter. Individual one-on-one mini photo sessions will be offered on site, with details available from the organizers. Please avoid excessive revving and burnouts, and clean up your area before leaving or bring trash to the organizers for disposal. Unnecessary or rowdy behavior will not be tolerated and may jeopardize use of this location. Event organizers and sponsors are not responsible for any damage to vehicles or personal injury. This gathering is part of a summer series that runs every other month on a third or fourth Sunday.

Over The Edge 2026

At Brady Sullivan Tower, a team of rappelers will descend 24 stories to raise support for Dismas Home. Funds will benefit women with substance use disorder who are rebuilding their lives after involvement with the judicial system. Residents of Dismas Home in Manchester commit to sobriety while receiving counseling, treatment, and support services in a safe, professionally staffed home. Ninety percent of women who complete the program achieve long term recovery.

NH Lightning Fisher Cats Night

Northeast Delta Dental Stadium hosts a special night recognizing the NH Lightning Travel Softball organization as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats take on the Somerset Patriots. Pre-game activities include check-in at guest services for on-field access, a chance to play catch on the outfield, and a group photo. A portion of each ticket benefits NH Lightning, a Concord, New Hampshire club that provides athletes opportunities to compete at various levels, with tournaments across New England and beyond.

KAWAII RAVE (Cosplay/Anime/EDM/KPOP/Hyperpop!)

At Jewel Music Venue, this anime-inspired dance party delivers a high-energy, light-filled rave experience for adults, with DJs spinning EDM, K-pop, hyperpop, and recognizable pop anthems. Cosplay is encouraged, so attendees can dress as favorite characters from across the anime world and lean into being loud, silly, and authentic. The event was founded by DJs Nico Blitz, KZA, and VINSIN, with Nico Blitz known from The Cruz Show on iHeartRadio LA. Admission is strictly 21 and over. Ticket tiers are $15 early bird, $20 advance, and $25 day of show.

Yin Yoga

This is an in-person only event. Yin Yoga is a slow and restorative practice designed to release deep tension, improve flexibility, and create spaciousness throughout the body. Postures are held for several minutes to target the fascia, joints, and connective tissues, allowing the body to soften gradually and naturally. Students will be guided through mindful breathwork, intentional stillness, and accessible shapes that support relaxation and introspection. It is suitable for all levels, including beginners, and props and modifications are provided to ensure comfort and ease in every pose.
