Radioposter founder Casey Fictum showcases a print medium that blends audio and ink in real time as pages turn, using a patent-pending approach that adds sound without extra hardware. Through collaborations, including the book Forest Bathing for Punks, this format creates tactile, audio-driven storytelling. Ground Floor Guitars offers a look at electric guitar signal flow, tracing vibrations from strings to pickups and onward through pedals to shape tone. He writes, produces, and arranges his own music, and pairs it with carefully chosen covers that span generations. His résumé includes performances with Chaka Khan, opening appearances for Kem, Al Green, and Jonathan Butler, and shared stages with Marcus Johnson, Najee, and Walter Beasley. In his hometown, he is a fixture of the jazz community, with coverage in Omaha Magazine and appearances at the LOVAM Festival and the Omaha Jazz Experience. Kayak Clean Up at Zorinsky Lake invites paddlers and shore-based helpers to care for local waters alongside Nebraska Game and Parks outdoor educators and partners. As part of a once-a-year, statewide cleanup coordinated across multiple locations, the goal is to remove a large amount of trash while fostering a strong sense of community. Trash bags and gloves are provided. A safety talk and basic instruction take place at the start. Participation is free. Attendees may bring their own kayak or borrow one, and land-based cleanup is an option as well. Due to a limited number of boats, registration is required to reserve a kayak. Kayaks are available to participants ages 10 and up on a first come, first served basis. Plan to meet at the Zorinsky Lake Trailhead parking lot on the north side of the lake. Session 2, week 8 of this competitive, PDGA-sanctioned women’s disc golf league brings the traveling series to Seymour Smith Disc Golf Course. The series spans nine weeks and rotates among courses within roughly 25 miles of the Omaha area, offering a consistent competitive setting for players each week. League nights are typically scheduled on Tuesdays during the season, and start times may vary. Across the series, each player’s top three scores are averaged to determine payouts. At the conclusion of each series, the top two finishers in every division receive payouts, while weekly pay-to-play participants are not eligible for series awards. Payouts are distributed electronically, and participants will be asked to share their preferred delivery method at the end of the session. Participation requires a UDisc account for league management and live scoring. Costs are $30 for the full nine-week session or $5 for a single week.
