North Platte Birding Club

Celebrate the North Platte River ecosystem with the North Platte Birding Club, a community focused on the waterway that sustains the Nebraska Panhandle. Gatherings take place every other week during the summer at different birding locations along the river. Each meet-up begins with food, beverages, and time to connect, then shifts to birding shaped by participants’ interests, from traditional walks to relaxed stationary viewing. All experience levels are welcome. Bird Conservancy will mentor new birders and encourage knowledge sharing among participants. These outings are free, with registration required. Loaner binoculars and field guides will be available. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and be ready to be outdoors for the entire program. This session meets at Riverside Park near YMCA Trails West Camp. For more information, call 308-633-1013. The club is committed to an inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds and abilities can participate and contribute.
