Divisions are set by CPI, with Tier 1 from 7.50 to 12.00, Tier 2 from 6.50 to 7.49, Tier 3 from 5.50 to 6.49, and Tier 4 up to 5.49. Singles entry fees are $40 for Tier 1, $35 for Tier 2 and Tier 3, and $30 for Tier 4. Singles entries remain within their assigned divisions. After singles, doubles are offered at $35 per player or $70 per team and include Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 divisions, with BYOP and coed options noted in the payout details. Blind draws follow, with one division for Tiers 1 and 2 that requires a 6.5 CPI minimum and another for Tiers 3 and 4 with a 6.49 CPI maximum. Blind draw entry is $35 and entries stay in their divisions. Sit n go games may be added if time allows. Directors may adjust player placement and may combine divisions if participation is low. Payouts are based on the number of entries. For singles, Tier 1 returns 85 percent of entries while Tiers 2 through 4 return 70 to 75 percent, with placement percentages that scale as the field grows. Doubles and blind draws return 80 percent of entries, with deeper placement payouts at higher entry counts. Gold and higher members receive a $10 discount on listed entry fees. Food and a full bar are available on site through The Kearney American Legion. Outside beverages are not permitted. Pre-registration is available and day-of registration includes a $5 additional fee.

The Eliminator format is simple and intense. A field of 12 to 21 athletes starts together and runs one lap at a time. After each lap the final finisher is removed from the race, competitors take a short breather, then the next lap begins... the cycle continues until only one runner remains. Heats are organized by age and ability, and there are fun prizes up for grabs on every lap. Spectators get nonstop action because every circuit to the line counts. Beyond the racing, the festival features HOKA demos, gear, games and attendee giveaways, a kids track meet, and a chance to test speed in a timed 40 yard dash with age group prizes. Mid-distance athletes can learn from a clinic led by three-time American 800 meter national champion Erik Sowinski. Food trucks and sno cones round out a full slate designed to entertain fans and celebrate running.
