Mud Bash 2026

A full week of Mud Bash fun comes to Busco Beach with event-week pricing in effect and no refunds if you leave early. Monday and Tuesday are free. Pricing depends on the day you arrive and you will be charged for the rest of the week. Arriving on Monday or Tuesday results in charges for Wednesday through Sunday. Arriving on Wednesday is charged Wednesday through Sunday, arriving on Thursday is charged Thursday through Sunday, arriving on Friday is charged Friday through Sunday, and arriving on Saturday is charged for Saturday and Sunday. Rates are $10 per person per day, $10 per person per night, and $10 per ATV per day. Admission requires a signed waiver and identification. Anyone 18 or older must present a valid ID such as a driver’s license, passport, Military ID, or REAL ID. No ID means no entry. Guests under 18 must enter with a parent, guardian, or another responsible adult who is at least 18 and who remains on the premises. When signing for a minor, complete the waiver with your own information, then list the minor’s name and date of birth below your signature. Bringing completed waivers and IDs ready for review will help speed up check in.

The WSE Titan UP 5K is a neighborhood run through the residential streets of Goldsboro, North Carolina, starting and finishing at Wayne School of Engineering. The course is mostly flat with a few gentle hills. This annual fundraiser supports Wayne School of Engineering and is organized by the WSE PTO to help purchase classroom materials and to back student scholastic and athletic programs. Donations are welcome even for those who are not racing. Early registration is $25 and includes a race T-shirt. Late registration is $35 and does not include a T-shirt. Goldsboro Food Truck Friday

This event features a wide range of food trucks and a welcoming, family friendly atmosphere with games and activities for all ages. There is no admission charge. A raffle will award tickets to an R&B tour concert as well as an NHL hockey game. Vendors will serve savory options such as cheesesteaks, fried fish, shrimp, and wraps, plus sweet treats like funnel cakes, candy grapes, and candy apples.

Mini Mayhem - Spring 2026

Mini Mayhem - Spring 2026 unfolds over three days at Busco Beach ATV Park with group rides, meetups, a drag strip session, a machine show, food, and awards. The first day features a welcome gathering, an easy warm-up ride for everyone, and an advanced shakedown run. The second day includes a morning meeting, an easy wake-up ride, a break for lunch and repairs, a duo ride for bikes and karts, a drag strip takeover, a machine showcase, Ike’s Beanies and Weenies, an awards ceremony, and an evening ride open to all. The final day wraps up with a relaxed last-call ride. For the machine show, participants pick up an orange wristband and a voting ticket at the CarsandCameras merch booth, place the wristband in a visible spot on the machine, and stage in the show area. The number on the band serves as the machine number. To vote, write the chosen machine’s number on the ticket and return it to the CarsandCameras booth. The schedule is subject to change.

A Mother’s Day Experience at The Collective

A calm afternoon at The Collective invites mothers and their loved ones to slow down, relax, and enjoy unhurried time together. The pace is intentionally gentle so guests can settle in before moving through a series of soothing rotations that include a chair massage, a mini facial, nail pampering, a halo therapy session, and a create-your-own tea blending activity. Light refreshments and tea are provided, a curated gift is included to take home, and there is time to browse and enjoy the space. Tickets are $200 per pair, with limited availability to keep the experience personal and relaxed.

71st Annual Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni Homecoming Weekend

A cherished homecoming tradition returns to Goldsboro, welcoming alumni back to the place where their shared story began. Now in its 71st year, the Dillard and Goldsboro community gathers for a full weekend devoted to reconnecting with classmates, honoring the legacy of Dillard High School and Goldsboro High School, and celebrating enduring bonds. The schedule features a wide range of activities, including a Scholarship and Awards Night, an Alumni Queen reception and meet and greet, a charity golf tournament, a National Board of Directors and all-member meeting, an alumni picnic, the In Living Color Sneaker Ball, a homecoming parade, an Alumni Legacy Banquet, the Young at Heart Dance with a midnight breakfast, the Homecoming Gospel Choir PRAYZ Party, alumni class tailgates, and a finale celebration. For generations, this gathering has brought alumni, families, and friends together in Goldsboro, serving as a celebration of heritage and a testament to a community that continues to grow.

Goldsboro-Community Breast Ultrasound Screening

Elevated Aesthetics hosts a community breast ultrasound screening provided by HerScan. Adding this imaging to regular breast health routines can raise detection rates from about 48 percent to 97 percent, especially for those with dense breast tissue. Ultrasound can find cancers that mammograms and physical exams may miss. The screening is painless, uses no radiation, and is safe for individuals with implants. Each visit includes imaging of both breasts and the underarm area, with results interpreted by a radiologist. A prescription is not required. The cost is $295, which includes the radiologist reading fee and is valued at up to $1,100.

Living with a chronic lung condition can be challenging, and this in-person support group offers a place to find understanding and reliable information close to home. Offered in partnership with the American Lung Association, the Better Breathers Club welcomes community members living with COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and other chronic lung diseases, along with their family members and caregivers. Attendees can connect with peers who share similar experiences, learn practical strategies to manage symptoms, and take away tools that support day-to-day well-being. The gathering takes place in the UNC Health Wayne Auditorium, and participants should enter through the Southeast Entrance unless noted otherwise.

Wayne Crime Stoppers Caper Chase

The Caper Chase highlights Crime Stoppers, a program that operates internationally so residents can share information about crimes without revealing their identity. Tips that help lead to felony arrests may qualify for rewards, and callers stay anonymous. The effort aims to make the county safer and relies entirely on private support from individuals, professional associations, merchants, and civic and social organizations. Runners and walkers can choose a 1 mile, 5k, or 10k, with both in person and virtual options available. Early entry is $20 for the 1 mile, $25 for the 5k or virtual 5k, and $35 for the 10k or virtual 10k. As the event approaches, prices increase to $25 for the 1 mile, $30 for the 5k or virtual 5k, and $40 for the 10k or virtual 10k. Event shirts are available, with shipping provided for virtual participants and advance pickup offered locally. Virtual 5k and 10k efforts can be completed anywhere, with results uploaded through RaceJoy. Awards include overall recognition for the top male and top female finishers, plus first through third place medals by gender in age groups 11 and under, 12 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and above.
