Spring Clean Your Body the Smart Way: Assessing Your Toxic Load

This workshop explores how to approach detoxification in a safer, more effective way by first understanding your body’s toxic load and the condition of its drainage pathways. It explains why jumping straight into a cleanse or juice fast can backfire, and how overwhelmed clearing systems can leave you feeling worse instead of better. You will learn how to gauge whether toxic burden is affecting your health and to what extent, why some people struggle more with environmental exposures than others, and the essential steps to take before attempting any detox. The session also clarifies what happens when preparation is skipped, highlighting the difference between moving toxins around and moving them out. It includes a look at annual testing used to monitor toxic load and how those insights can guide smarter decisions. This program is geared toward anyone curious about toxic burden but unsure where to begin, those who have tried detoxes with underwhelming or unpleasant results, and people seeking a root cause approach to safe, effective detoxification. Space is limited, and registration is required.

Garbage holds clues to who we are, a reality a city sanitation worker knows well. Danny, blunt and outspoken, is tasked with training Marlowe, a well educated newcomer with little hands-on experience. As they move through their route, their opposite approaches spark both comic and intense moments. Through the rhythm of essential work, these two from different worlds uncover common ground that reaches beyond the job they share.

Fódhla

Fódhla brings high energy and refined musicianship to the stage at Next Generation Theatre, offering traditional Irish music shaped by years spent in Cork, Limerick, and Ennis, along with a thoughtful North American perspective. Fiddler Ellery Klein and flutist Nicole Rabata trade expressive melodies and ornamentation, while guitarist Bethany Waickman adds inventive harmonies and a driving pulse honed through extensive contra dance work. The program typically opens with spirited sets of reels and jigs, then shifts into a Québécois waltz paired with a graceful French bourrée, builds through lively barndances, and concludes with a tender slow air guided by soft guitar. Audiences and presenters have praised the trio for filling rooms and sending listeners home smiling. Their debut album, Notes from Millpond, was launched at a sold-out show in Portland, and their performances have included respected Celtic series such as Blue in Portland and The Backroom at the Burren, along with festival appearances at the Saltwater Festival, the Maine Celtic Celebration, KVMR Celtic Fest, and the Boston Celtic Music Festival. Klein has toured with Gaelic Storm, co-founded Long Time Courting, appeared as a featured soloist with the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra, and holds a graduate degree in Traditional Irish Music from the University of Limerick. Rabata is an Irish flutist active in traditional, classical, and Brazilian choro settings, with tours across America and Europe, teaching and performing experience in India, several years immersed in the west of Ireland’s music, and faculty roles at Colby College and the University of Maine at Augusta. Waickman, based in Portland, grew up in a musical family in the Adirondacks, spent time playing in Ireland, co-founded the contra dance trio Anadama, performs with Lissa Schneckenburger, has toured widely in North America and Europe, and is a regular in Maine’s session scene and the New England contra dance circuit.

The theme is Belonging, highlighting how each instrument contributes its voice to create a unified sound, much like threads woven into a single musical tapestry. The program includes Nancy Galbraith’s A Festive Violet Pulse, Henry Purcell’s Rondeau from the Abdelazer Suite, Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra with narration by Jen Shepard, Edward Elgar’s Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 featuring the Adagio and Moderato movements performed by cellist Ronan Sands, winner of the Maine High School Concerto Competition 2026, an excerpt from Johann Strauss II’s The Blue Danube, and John Williams’s Liberty Fanfare. This 50-minute blend of education and performance comes with an instructional packet for students and teachers that offers information about the orchestra and the featured works. Concerts welcome children in public, private, and homeschool settings. Tickets are $3 per person for both students and chaperones, available on a first come, first served basis. ✨🐛✨🌀🦋💫 REIKI Level l & ll INTENSIVE WEEKEND ~ * Shift Energy🌀Shift Consciousness✨Manifest New💫

Experience a hands-on Reiki Level I and II intensive designed for people who feel called to deepen energetic awareness, cultivate personal transformation, and expand spiritual understanding. Reiki is presented as a holistic energetic system that supports insight into the interplay of body, mind, emotions, consciousness, spirit, and lived experience. The training emphasizes practical skills that bring clarity and grounding, exploring how emotions, beliefs, and generational influences can shape daily life and how conscious awareness can help shift patterns and create new outcomes. The format is experiential rather than purely lecture based, with a focus on real integration you can apply beyond the classroom. Day one centers on Level I foundations, including an introduction to the system, self-healing practices, energetic perception and grounding, the impact of lifestyle and emotions on energy, an attunement, and guided practice. Day two expands into Level II with sacred symbol attunements, exploration of the chakra system and aura, attention to emotional, environmental, and generational patterns, distance practices, development of telepathic and intuitive sensitivity, awareness of Akashic records and energetic timelines, and tools that support manifesting intentions. Many participants notice meaningful shifts in perspective and sensitivity. Attunements are traditionally shared from Master to student and are often experienced as significant milestones in personal growth. This training welcomes empaths and intuitive individuals seeking clarity, people ready for personal development, those navigating life changes, professionals adding holistic skills, and anyone drawn to deeper spiritual exploration. Instruction is led by Kathy Thurston, who brings more than three decades of professional holistic experience with individuals and groups in the United States and internationally. Her approach blends traditional Reiki with contemporary consciousness work, manifestation principles, intuitive development, and embodied energy practices. Ongoing advanced study includes training at the Arthur Findlay College in England, and she works with adults across a wide range of ages. Her teaching is practical, sincere, and change oriented, emphasizing empowerment and real-life application. Kathy’s lineage follows the traditional Usui line, from Mikao Usui through Chujiro Hayashi and Hawayo Takata, continuing through Brown and MacFarland to Kathy Thurston. For those wishing to continue, Advanced Reiki Techniques at the Master Level III are available as the next step. Preparation for becoming a Master Teacher is offered through professional mentorships that honor lineage and integrity, with a comprehensive scope that can include holistic health, life coaching, bodywork modalities, deeper consciousness development, altered states, spiritual energetic realms, and exploration of collective consciousness and dimensions. Mentorship can be used for personal growth or to support professional practice. Early and regular registration rates are available. A deposit of 150 dollars reserves a space, and payment plans are offered prior to training. To take part, message to confirm attendance.

Same day adoptions will not occur, however attendees may submit applications for pets they feel drawn to and want to learn more about. The setting is intended to be calm and positive, with an emphasis on supporting the rescue community. Personal pets are welcome with guidelines in place. The Full Moon Parasite Protocol: Timing Your Body's Natural Detox

Headaches, brain fog, bloating, and unrelenting fatigue are common complaints, yet the underlying cause may differ from what is usually discussed. This workshop explores the perspective that parasites are more widespread than commonly recognized and often missed in conventional care, and explains how the body's natural rhythm tied to the lunar cycle can create a strategic moment to address them. During the full moon, serotonin levels in the body rise, parasites become more active and mobile, and that increase in activity can make them easier to eliminate. The session covers how to tell if parasites could be affecting health, why timing matters and how to work with natural cycles, how to determine whether the body is ready for a cleanse and what to do if it is not, and a step by step approach to safe, effective parasite detoxification. It is designed to offer clarity and confidence for both beginners and those ready to take action. Space is limited, and registration is required.

🌀Past Life Regression Hypnosis Group Experience – ⏳Journey Through Time

This small group hypnosis session invites participants to explore past life regression in a calm, guided setting. Through relaxation techniques and hypnotic guidance, attendees may notice impressions, symbols, emotions, scenes, or memories connected to another lifetime. Experiences differ for each person, ranging from vivid details to a simple sense, feeling, or message that can illuminate patterns, fears, relationships, gifts, or challenges in the present. Chakra crystal singing bowls are incorporated to deepen relaxation. Their sound and vibration help quiet the mind, relax the body, and support letting go so the transition into hypnosis and past life exploration feels easier. The experience supports mind, body, and spirit, creating a safe and grounded environment where participants can be open to whatever arises. All essential supplies are provided. Those who prefer to use a personal mat, pillow, or blanket may bring their own, and advance notice is requested. After the regression there is time to write about the experience with provided paper and pen, followed by discussion, questions, and guidance to help connect what emerged with current life themes. Tea and water are available. Space is limited. The fee is $88 per person, and registration is required. The group format offers a savings of over $100 compared with a private session.

Sean Heely and more

Scottish fiddle virtuoso Seán Heely joins bouzouki innovator Beth Patterson for a concert at Next Generation Theatre, bringing a vibrant blend of Celtic tradition and boundary-pushing musicianship. Heely is a multifaceted artist, performing as a fiddler, singer, harpist, and composer, and is one of the few to hold U.S. national titles in both Scottish fiddle and Scottish Gaelic song. He is also an award-winning Irish fiddler and harpist. A graduate in violin performance from the University of South Carolina, he made a classical solo debut with the Virginia Symphony in Mozart’s Fifth Violin Concerto, later serving as an Artist in Residence at Strathmore. His teaching includes work as an Adjunct Instructor at American University and faculty roles at leading traditional music programs such as the Acadia Traditional School of Music and Arts, Boxwood Music Festival, Upper Potomac Fiddle Retreat, and Fiddle Hell Festival. His performance history spans Scotland, Ireland, South America, Germany, and major U.S. stages including the Kennedy Center and Strathmore. Patterson, a Louisiana-born multi-instrumentalist, is best known for the eight and ten string Irish bouzoukis. Her shows pulse with drive, energy, humor, and close connection to listeners, weaving original and traditional songs into a style that blends songwriter craft with world, acoustic, and progressive influences. She studied traditional Irish music and ethnomusicology at University College Cork, has released nine solo albums with airplay around the globe, and appears on more than two hundred recordings. Her credits include soundtrack work for The One-Eyed King and Mike Judge’s Extract, choral contributions to a track in Sinners, and an appearance in Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. She has toured in over twenty countries across five continents, with more than a hundred of her compositions and co-writes recorded by herself and other artists, and holds a degree in music therapy from Loyola University New Orleans. In addition to solo projects, she performs in the duo ZoüKeys with pianist Josh Paxton and collaborates with Seán Heely. This performance showcases two artists recognized for versatility, technical command, and imaginative reach, offering a dynamic journey through Celtic roots and beyond.
