Livingston Taylor

An evening with Livingston Taylor highlights a five-decade journey in song from a musician who began on guitar at 13, recorded his first album at 18, and grew up in a deeply musical family alongside siblings Alex, James, Kate, and Hugh. His catalog includes radio favorites like I Will Be in Love with You and I’ll Come Running, as well as I Can Dream of You and Boatman, the latter two later recorded by his brother James. On stage he moves comfortably among folk, pop, gospel, and jazz, shifting from bright, story-rich tunes to tender ballads, and audiences often hear a nod to classics by Gershwin or selections from Broadway. Known for an easy rapport, he blends songs with personal anecdotes that create a warm connection in the room. Taylor has performed continuously since his early coffeehouse days, sharing bills with artists such as Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Buffett, and Jethro Tull, and he continues to tour widely. He is also a full professor at Berklee College of Music, where he teaches Stage Performance, and he authored the book Stage Performance. His half-century of music-making was formally recognized in Massachusetts with proclamations honoring his contributions.

Presented by the Antonia and Vladimir Kulaev Cultural Heritage Fund, this lobby series spotlights local and regional musicians in a relaxed, intimate environment. For the occasion, the lobby becomes a showcase-style lounge with seating for 70. This performance features Grammy-nominated songwriter Reed Foehl with his trio. Relix has noted the cinematic sweep of his arrangements and the delicate, compelling quality of his vocals, and he has received praise from artists including Gregory Alan Isakov, Todd Snider, and Jeffrey Foucault. Foehl is preparing a seventh solo album for 2026, recorded in Woodstock, New York, with contributions from Gregory Alan Isakov, Jeffrey Martin, Anna Tivel, Rich Hinman, and Jeb Bows. His song Fly, co-written with Brent Cobb and recorded by Lee Ann Womack, earned a Grammy nomination. He now lives in Vermont’s Green Mountains and continues to tour internationally.

Let Your Fascia Flow with KC Lyons

This two hour workshop weaves self myofascial release with yoga to help ease tightness, reduce discomfort, and enhance mobility. Fascia is a web of connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, organs, and nerves and provides structure for the body. Injuries, surgeries, and emotional stress can create adhesions in this tissue that limit movement and cause pain. Using focused pressure, intentional movement, and mindful breathing, the session works to soften adhesions, release tension, and support smoother, more comfortable motion throughout the body. Maintaining flexibility and range of motion is an important part of aging well. It suits athletes, weekend warriors, people navigating midlife changes, anyone managing chronic tightness, and those looking to support their overall well being. No prior yoga experience is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to try something new. Participants will experience guided self massage using therapy and massage balls, a sequence of yoga poses to lengthen and open the body, and calming breathwork and mindfulness for relaxation and recovery. Personalized adjustments are available to address individual needs. Expect to leave feeling lighter, more mobile, and more connected to your body. Capacity is limited to 12 participants. Reiki I Attunement and Certification | August 2026

Begin an energy healing journey with a one day Usui Reiki I certification class that introduces the first degree. Rooted in a lineage that began with Mikao Usui in Japan in the late 1800s and later came to the United States through Hawayo Takata of Hawaii, Reiki is often known as Universal Life Force Energy. In this level, participants receive the first in a series of three attunements, which opens the channel to universal light force energy and helps anchor light and healing frequency within the auric field. The emphasis is on self healing and supporting healing on the physical level while developing a relationship with energy. The class includes an overview of Reiki history, an exploration of how energy works and the power of intention, and a review of ethics and permissions. Participants receive the first degree attunement, practice grounding meditation, learn self care approaches and hand placements for working with themselves and others, and study the aura, colors, and chakra energy centers. There is dedicated time to practice giving and receiving healing. Tuition is 225 dollars. Attendees are encouraged to pack a lunch or snack, wear loose and comfortable clothing, and bring a notebook and pen for notes or journaling. Provide your name as you would like it to appear on the certificate before class. Address details are shared 48 hours before the session.

Time in a Bottle: Songs of the ’70s with Swearingen & Kelli

Relive the songwriting spirit of the 1970s as Swearingen & Kelli revisit favorites from artists like Jim Croce, Carole King, John Denver, James Taylor, Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon and Garfunkel, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young, and more. Nashville musicians AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli lead the show with Bethlehem tenor Jonathan Beedle, weaving close harmonies and an inviting atmosphere that feels like friends gathering around cherished songs. For more than a decade, Swearingen & Kelli have shaped harmony-driven Americana inspired by classic writers of the ’60s and ’70s. They met at a Florida songwriters club, became partners on and off stage, eloped in Punta Cana, and later made Nashville their home, where their collaboration continues to grow. Their album Build Myself Up From the Ground earned praise from The Bluegrass Situation, Wide Open Country, and Americana Highways, and they have appeared alongside Crystal Gayle, Kenny Rogers, Tom Rush, and David Bromberg. Their music has also reached symphonic pops audiences with orchestras across the United States and Canada. In 2025, Jayne introduced a piano-focused solo project that began with a dreamy reinterpretation of America’s Sister Golden Hair featuring AJ’s vintage lap steel, followed by the indie rock single Only in the Dream, which earned critical acclaim and a premiere with Magnet Magazine. The project points toward a cinematic, keyboard-centered sound while preserving the storytelling and emotion that define the duo, with Volume I planned for release in fall 2026.

CANTRIP & LOW LILY

This concert features Cantrip and Low Lily, two groups rooted in tradition and driven by adventurous musicianship. Cantrip takes its name from an Old Scots term for a charm or bit of magic, a fitting nod to arrangements that surprise at every turn and playing that packs a serious punch. Border pipes, fierce fiddle, powerful guitar, and three voices create a high energy sound. After two decades on the road, Dan Houghton, Jon Bews, Alasdair White, and Eric McDonald fold classic 1960s and 70s trad influences into grooves and colors drawn from funk, metal, bluegrass, swing, and klezmer, shaping untamed inspiration into finely crafted tunes and songs. Low Lily brings a clear, artful blend of vocals and strings from across the folk spectrum. Liz Simmons and Flynn Cohen join with special guest Elsie Gawler on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and harmonies, moving with ease from lively fiddle music to reflective folk, bluegrass, and Americana. Grounded in the song and tune traditions of North America and the wider Anglo Celtic world, the trio has earned two songs that topped international folk radio and two Independent Music Awards. Their repertoire also features Hope Lingers On by former member Lissa Schneckenburger, a piece embraced by choirs worldwide as a call for peace and justice. The program blends time honored roots with fresh energy, rich harmonies, and instrumental fire.
