This event is part of a Summer Reading Program that offers free weekly family entertainment, and attendance does not require enrollment in the program.

Step into the Cookie Kingdom for a Cookie Run Braverse tournament with a learn-to-play focus. Each participant receives a beginner starter deck to use, available while supplies last on a first come, first served basis. Gameplay follows the Standard format with best-of-one matches run in Swiss rounds. Prize support adds three booster packs per entrant to the pool, awarded to the top three finishers with sixty percent to first place, twenty-five percent to second, and fifteen percent to third. Participation promos are included, and the winner may choose a promo from the Cookie Promo Binder. Fresh baked cookies will be available, with varieties that may vary. Sealed product will not be available. In that case, one hundred percent of entry fees are paid out as store credit using the same top three split, and all applicable promo packs are still awarded.

At Next Level Games, players gather for a booster draft where decks are built on the spot and matches are played head to head. Each participant opens three booster packs across the draft, picking one card at a time and passing the rest to neighbors... first to the left, then to the right for the second pack, and back to the left for the third. When drafting wraps up, you will have roughly 45 cards plus any number of basic lands to construct a minimum 40-card deck. Games usually run about 20 minutes, keeping the action quick and focused. Entry begins at $15. Prizes include a booster for every match win, along with a promo pack for participating.

At the Daleville Outdoor Learning Lab, guests can explore at their own pace across five acres that feature an apple orchard, gardens, and play areas with cornhole, sand volleyball, swings, and a stage. This program is part of the Muncie Children’s Museum summer series, offered weekly at different locations around the community to provide free, family friendly activities. Explore musical instruments in a hands-on setting. Students enrolled in YSOECI classes can borrow instruments during the event, and auditions for YSO and Intermezzo are also happening.

Experience a free, two hour introduction to scuba at Yorktown High School. I Tried Scuba is designed for anyone curious about diving before committing to a seven week course. The session starts with about an hour in the classroom focused on safe scuba practices and the opportunities available to Open Water Divers for those who choose to continue their education. Participants ages 10 and older then head to the pool for a short swim, learn how to use a mask, snorkel, and fins, and finish by putting on scuba gear to swim underwater with an instructor on a guided tour along the bottom of the pool. Bring a swimsuit and a towel.

Discover Minnetrista’s Nature Area after sunset during a guided hike that highlights the land’s story and the plants and animals that live here. The route moves from dusk into night, so flashlights and walking sticks are welcome as you listen and look for the sights and sounds of Indiana’s natural setting. The evening ends around a fire with s’mores. Located at the Center Building and Nature Area. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children, with free admission for ages 3 and under, and member discounts available. Preregistration is preferred, and only a limited number of walk-in tickets may be offered.

This event wraps up the summer movie series with a free outdoor showing of Hocus Pocus at Daleville Town Hall Park. Presented by Good Guys by Shane Anthony, whose ongoing support of Daleville Parks and local families reflects deep community roots, it adds extra fun with a special meet and greet featuring surprise visitors that may include characters inspired by the Sanderson Sisters, along with photo opportunities. Concessions and popcorn will be available to benefit Daleville Parks, Inc. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for a comfortable night under the stars.
