Marvel Crisis Protocol Extended Format League

Marvel Crisis Protocol players are invited to take part in an Extended Format League that features roster building, rotating opponents, and a race for top placement and prizes. Sign-up and league communication take place on Secret Door’s Discord channel. A $25 league fee is due before a player’s first match and covers table fees for the entire season. Third-party components are welcome within clear guidelines. Proxy models may be used if they accurately represent the intended character and are mounted on correctly sized bases. Custom tokens are allowed when they clearly communicate their effects. Third-party dice are permitted as long as they do not cause confusion, for example by replacing the critical symbol with a different icon. Only crisis cards from the 2023 Crisis Pack and War of Kings are legal, and all cards must be current. Official revision PDFs are available on AMG’s website. Rosters follow standard construction rules with 10 characters, 10 team tactics cards, 5 extract crises, and 5 secure crises. The Extended format does not apply bans or restrictions to the listed Team Tactics or Crisis cards. Players submit a single roster for the entire league via Discord or direct message to the event organizer, and a pinned document in the League Pairings channel will track submitted rosters. Card updates operate on the honor system with opponent oversight. Suspected outdated cards may be verified through Jarvis Protocol, and staff or the event organizer will audit contested cards when present. Logged infractions escalate as follows: the first results in a warning, the second in an immediate forfeit, and the third in removal from the remainder of the league. The league runs across five Phases that begin every other Sunday. Players coordinate match times together, and if an agreed time is missed, the responsible player forfeits and the opponent receives event points as if awarded a bye. Phase 1 pairings are random. For Phases 2 through 5, players are randomly paired within their event point bracket, with one player moved up if needed to balance numbers. If the league has an odd number of players in Phase 1, the event organizer takes the bye; afterward, byes go to the lowest event point player who has not yet had one. Byes count as wins. Scoring is 3 event points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. A game is a draw if both players have the same victory points at the end of Round 6, or if both reach 16 victory points in the same cleanup phase. If first place is tied after Phase 5, total victory points across the league break the tie, and if still tied, a tiebreaker match is played. Throughout the season, Secret Door will host painting spotlights and competitions featuring league models, with winners chosen by popular vote and prizes awarded at season’s end at the discretion of the event organizer and Secret Door Games. Final league rankings are based on event points with the listed tiebreakers, and additional prizes selected by Secret Door Games are awarded according to final placement.

SMILEY EVERY AFTER COMEDY SHOW TOUR⭐️Bob & Sarah Smiley at Funny Pharm Comedy Club- Goshen, IN

Bob and Sarah Smiley bring their "Love isn’t That funny" tour to Funny Pharm Comedy Club in Goshen, sharing a two-show run that finds humor in the highs and hiccups of marriage from both sides of the aisle. Married for seven years, they trade stories and perspectives as a pair of opposites who are genuinely devoted to each other. Bob draws on more than 27 years on stage, with performances in theaters, churches, and festivals nationwide and five comedy specials, including three on DryBar. He created The Adventures of Average Boy for Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse magazine and its award-winning podcast, and he voiced Lowell the Snowman in the stop-motion film Steal the Naughty List. He also claims surprising strengths like expert mowing and collecting an impressive number of hotel shampoos. Sarah steps up as a daughter, wife, mother, teacher, and speaker who has wrestled with perfectionism, loss, and anxiety, and now delivers humor, hope, and hard-earned insight. She turns the daily chaos of raising five boys, plus Bob, into sharp, honest stories infused with biblical perspective. Together they offer a candid, funny look at relationships told through a husband-and-wife lens.

Urban Wildlife Biologist Jessica Merkling from IDNR leads an informative talk that distinguishes coyote myths from realities, highlighting their natural history, behavior, and practical ways to live alongside them. The program continues with a guided walk where participants will watch and listen for coyotes in their habitat. It is designed for ages 12 and up. The hike includes uneven terrain, so sturdy footwear is recommended, and insect repellent can be helpful. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required. Parking is very limited, so the group will meet at the Elkhart County Historical Museum and carpool to a nearby site about five minutes away. Please allow extra travel time. This outing depends on the weather, so check the event page for updates before heading out.

Watchhouse

Watchhouse, the North Carolina based duo of Andrew Marlin & Emily Frantz, have announced a new studio album called Rituals, due out May 30, 2025 via Tiptoe Tiger Music / Thirty Tigers. The collection marks the pair’s first release of all new, original songs since their 2021 self-titled album, which earned praise from Rolling Stone (“pristine acoustic picking collides with hazy, dream-like psychedelia”) Mojo, NPR Music, American Songwriter and more. Starting over a decade ago playing coffee shops and local restaurants around North Carolina, Watchhouse is a grassroots success story that’s been driven by Marlin’s poignant songwriting. With sold-out shows at legendary venues like Red Rocks and the Ryman Auditorium, and hundreds of millions of streams, they’ve earned a reputation for creating music that “redefines roots music for a younger generation” (Washington Post). The duo – now with a family of their own – are two singers and musicians with profound chemistry, performing earnest yet masterfully crafted songs that encompass the unknowable mysteries, existential heartbreak, and communal joys of modern life. The forthcoming album is no exception.

Jimmie Vaughan & The Tilt-A-Whirl Band

When it comes to the blues today, there are a handful of guiding lights to make sure the music stays true to its history. For Jimmie Vaughan, he's dedicated his life to making sure the blues not only stays alive, but remains full of life and an inspiration to all who listen. It's a spirit he holds close to him, and for almost 60 years, Vaughan isn't about to stop now. As a bandleader, singer and guitarist, the four time Grammy Award winner, Jimmie Vaughan is a master of how everything is captured for posterity. "Playing what you feel has always been my main goal," Vaughan says. Considering the Texas guitarist and singer has had the kind of career that makes him a living legacy, those are no idle words. His first group when he was 13 years old played Dallas' Hob Nob Lounge six nights a week, learning the kind of lessons that can't be taught, they have to be lived. Getting the chance to open for Jimi Hendrix when he was 16 years old along with being heavily influenced by B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Albert King, Freddie King and so many more, convinced the young Vaughan it was time to find a way to play the music he felt the strongest about: the blues. That took him to hitchhiking to Austin in the early 70's and carving out a new crew of blues players who shared his musical excitement. He formed The Fabulous Thunderbirds and their debut album "Girls Go Wild" on Takoma Records was released in 1979. After worldwide success with The Fabulous Thunderbirds during the 80's, it came time to leave the band and build his own path in exploring different approaches to the blues. He and his brother Stevie Ray Vaughan collaborated and released "Family Style" to great acclaim and recognition in the music industry. He then released his first solo album on Epic Records in the early 90's and what Vaughan discovered was that he could take it anywhere; there were no boundaries. "I wanted to find out what I could really do," he says, "and when I started singing it gave me a whole new side to explore. When I was young I didn't really pay much attention to categories of music. I just heard what I liked and decided to explore that and that's really what I'm still doing." Jimmie is continuing his love affair with and staying spiritually connected to the American music he loves.
