Belleville Line Dance Lessons 7-9PM

Line dance lessons at Silver Creek Sports & Social in Belleville, Illinois welcome everyone, from brand new dancers to seasoned regulars. The evening begins with beginner friendly instruction so newcomers can get comfortable, then builds to more challenging routines that reach improver and advanced levels, finishing with a brief open dance. After School Storytime

Children gather for a friendly after school storytime that includes one or two stories suited to their age, guided conversation about the books’ themes and characters, and a themed craft that connects to what was read. The session concludes with a light snack. It offers a supportive setting where children can strengthen reading skills, practice critical thinking, socialize, and express their creativity.

An intimate dinner showcases Iron Fish Distillery, a grain to glass producer from Michigan, with distinctive bourbons and cocktails at the center of the experience. Chef Judy and her team serve a multi-course menu paired to a guided progression of pours, starting with a welcome cocktail and continuing through thoughtfully matched tastings that bring out new notes in both glass and plate. Spring '26 Vocal Jazz Cabaret

SWIC VoJazz 1 and 2 present a showcase of jazz standards and pop tunes arranged for vocal ensemble with piano, bass, and drums. The rhythm section features Melissa Ray on piano, Ben Coan on bass, and Andy Jensen on drums, who also serves as director. The performance will be held at the Belleville Campus Main Complex (BCMC) Theater. Admission is free.

Chick-Fil-A at Auffenberg Kia in Shiloh, IL to benefit Gateway Pet Guardians

A Chick-fil-A Express pop-up will be set up at the Auffenberg Kia lot with a quick drive-up format for easy pickup. Ten percent of sales will support Gateway Pet Guardians. Adoptable kittens and dogs will be present in a separate area away from the food. The menu includes the classic chicken sandwich for $6, the spicy version for $6.50, a grilled wrap for $9, a side salad for $5, and a chocolate chunk cookie for $2. Celebrate a love of reading at a bookish workshop created for book lovers. Participants choose from a variety of sign designs to paint, and all supplies are provided. Personalize the piece to match home decor and individual style, or make a custom book page sign featuring a favorite short quote. The quote will be pasted exactly as submitted, so double check the wording. The workshop also features giveaways and a cheerful nod to the bookish community.

Take Back the Night

Returning for its second year, this free Take Back the Night walk brings the community together at the Southwestern Illinois College Belleville campus to show support for survivors of sexual assault and to build awareness. Attendees receive candles before a solidarity walk that begins in the Campus Quad, followed by a theatre program featuring guest speakers. RSVPs are requested for the walk and for the speaking portion. Event shirts can be purchased in advance with choices for size and color. Organized in partnership with the HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital SANE Team, Scott Air Force Base, and the SWIC Nursing Department, the event centers on solidarity, shared resources, and visible community support.

Grease Cast at the Skyview Drive In

Skyview Drive-In Movie Theater hosts a special celebration of the beloved musical film, featuring a screening of Grease and appearances from original cast members. Guests slated to attend include Lorenzo Lamas (Tom), Barry Pearl (Doody), Michael Tucci (Sonny), and Jamie Donnelly (Jan), along with the film’s director, Randall Kleiser, with more participants expected to be announced. Before the movie begins, attendees can enjoy a meet and greet, photo opportunities, autographs, and new themed backdrops. General admission for the meet and greet is $22, with a $10 rate for children ages 3 to 12. A $100 VIP option includes entry two hours earlier than the general public, first access to the meet and greet, priority parking for the drive-in showing, and a swag bag of exclusive merchandise valued at $80. The summer concert series returns to June’s Breakfast + Patio with live music from Jazz Tonite on the patio. Full Flower Moon Meditation & Sound Healing

A reflective evening attuned to the full flower moon in Scorpio invites participants to honor inner truth and express gratitude for intentions ready to blossom. The experience includes guided gratitude meditation and journaling, gentle practices to release what is no longer in alignment, and restorative sound healing with sound bowls, gong, drums, and native flute. Snacks and beverages will be available before and after class at the Zen Zone Tea Bar, creating space to settle in or re-center. This gathering is donation based, with a suggested contribution of $20 to $30. Payment can be made in cash on the day or prepaid with Mere.

MOTHER/DAUGHTER - MOTHER'S DAY ART WORKSHOP

Now in its tenth year, this Mother's Day themed art workshop invites mothers and daughters to create side by side. Attend with a mom, daughter, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, or mom-to-be and enjoy a creative session filled with connection, laughter, and playful, paint-splattered fun. The cost is $40 per person or $75 for a pair. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Puppy Yoga

Stretch, breathe, and smile through a beginner-friendly puppy yoga pop up designed for adults and kids. This donation-based class supports Gateway Pet Guardians, with every contribution benefiting the rescue. A minimum donation of $25 per person will be collected, and you can pay via Venmo in advance or with cash or check at the class. Adoptions will be available. If mat spots fill, adding your name to the waitlist is encouraged since openings often appear, and donations still help the pups. Registration is available online or through the Moonbird app by choosing the O’Fallon location. Expect plenty of playful interruptions and wet-nosed greetings.

Plant & Paint

It is planting season, and this community planter painting gathering is led by Amy Hoef. Participants can choose pre-sprouted plants in compostable containers or start from seeds in plastic containers, with both types of containers available to paint as part of a creative, hands-on activity. Plants are available for $5 each.

All Daughter's Banquet

This banquet welcomes ladies of all ages for an evening meal served by gentlemen of all ages. There is no cost to attend, but a headcount is requested. The menu includes salad, a main dish, side dishes, and dessert.

Seals and Crofts 2

Enjoy an intimate acoustic performance celebrating the legacy of Seals & Crofts, featuring fresh takes on signature songs like "Summer Breeze," "Diamond Girl," and "We May Never Pass This Way (Again)." The music is performed by Seals & Crofts 2, the duo of Brady Seals, cousin of James "Jim" Seals, and Lua Crofts, daughter of Darrell "Dash" Crofts. Their debut project pairs beloved classics with new songs from the duo.

At Lincoln Theatre, this show unfolds in two parts. It opens with a tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd, led by singer, songwriter, and producer Sam Morgan performing a set of the band's hits. The feature then turns to Belleville artist Vannah Leigh for an extended homage to Linda Ronstadt, delivering a two-hours-plus program that blends country, folk, rock, pop, Mexican rancheras, and selections from the Great American Songbook. Presented as a Linda Ronstadt tribute starring Vannah Leigh, it pairs Skynyrd favorites with a wide-ranging Ronstadt set.

Desperados and Dreamers presents a tribute to a formative era in popular music, moving from Southern rock to country rock with a nostalgic, high-energy program. The show opens with a salute to Jacksonville’s legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd, with singer, songwriter, and producer Sam Morgan leading a set of classic hits that captures the band’s trademark sound. That opening is just the beginning, setting up the feature performance. Belleville singer and songwriter Vannah Leigh follows with a more than two hour homage to Linda Ronstadt, the Queen of Country Rock and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Her set blends country, folk, rock, pop, Mexican rancheras, and selections from the Great American Songbook into a seamless journey through Ronstadt’s celebrated interpretations. A hand picked band of accomplished area musicians anchors the concert, working to deliver the scale and detail fans expect. It offers a chance to revisit timeless songs, or for newer listeners to discover why this music has connected across generations.

Westview's Annual Spring Rummage Sale

An annual spring rummage sale where several families will be selling their goods. Sellers can rent a space for $25 per spot, and a space is confirmed only after payment is made in person. Online payments are not accepted. Sellers must be available for a setup window before the sale. All arrangements should be handled only with Tracy, Delaine, or Kim. Spring Photography Fundraiser

A spring photography mini session fundraiser will take place at Rock Springs Park, featuring 15-minute sessions with photographers donating their time and artistic skills. Morning and afternoon appointments are available. Choose from two digital photo packages, either three images for $50 or five images for $75. All donations support the Scott Spouses' Club charitable and scholarship funds.

Spring Clean Swap & Shop

Participants can clear out closets, garages, and storage totes by passing along items in good condition to others. Table reservations are available for anyone setting up a spot, and the day centers on browsing, trading, and easy springtime mingling. A children’s area will include crafts and activities, and food vendors will be indoors.

Hollywood5 brings an upbeat, live show to Copper Fire, drawing on almost twenty years as a party band from St. Louis, MO. Their set spans current pop, classic rock, country favorites, and enduring dance floor hits to keep the energy high.

Annual Plant Sale

The O'Fallon Garden Club’s yearly plant sale at O'Fallon Vine Street Station features a wide selection of plants and planters for both sunny and shady landscapes. Shoppers will find hostas, daylilies, hellebore, bleeding heart plants, ferns, lily of the valley, Solomon seal, ground covers, vegetables, and annuals. There will also be potted plants and a garden shop offering items to enhance your garden. The sale will be held regardless of weather, and funds raised support the club’s ongoing projects in the community.

Strawberry Fest

Downtown Belleville hosts the second annual Strawberry Fest, featuring strawberry-themed creations from individual businesses throughout the area. Plenty is being planned, and additional details will be shared as they become available.

MAN CAVE EXTRAVAGANZA

The fourth annual Man Cave Extravaganza brings a wide mix of vendors to Belle Clair Fairgrounds Park, with sellers from multiple states offering breweriana collectibles, illuminated signs, decor, gas and oil advertising pieces, bottles, cans, and more to explore. With thousands of finds suited for a home bar, a man cave, or a she-shed, shoppers can hunt for that perfect addition to their space. Raffles and giveaways are planned, along with a touch of Kentucky Derby Day fun. Admission options include early bird entry for $10 and general admission for $5, and children 12 and under enter free.

23rd Annual St. Clair County Law Day 5K Run/Walk, 1K Youth Run, and Toddler Trot

Celebrate fitness in Belleville at a long-running 5K run and walk that welcomes families and participants of all ages. Beyond the main race, children can take part in a 1K Youth Run and little ones can try a 300 meter Toddler Trot. Entry includes a race shirt, an awards ceremony, a bounce house for kids, and a festive post-race gathering with pizza from Bennie’s Pizza Pub, samples of Michelob Ultra and Bloody Marys for those 21 and older, and a DJ.

PIB (Pferde in Balance) Clinic with Carolin Moldenhauer

Carolin Moldenhauer leads a PIB clinic at Deanna Preis Horsemanship at Shade Tree Stables that opens a two-part learning journey while also standing on its own. The focus is on clear orientation in training, learning to recognize what a horse needs in the moment, and choosing exercises with intention rather than habit. Using the PIB Compass in a practical way, the clinic explores how balance, connection, and readiness appear in movement, why certain exercises help and when they do not, and how to build trust in perception and decision making. Accessible exercises and real scenarios are used to clarify both what to do and how to choose the next step. Participants receive direct coaching with their own horse, putting theory into practice and addressing specific challenges. Lessons follow logical progressions that support the horse mentally, physically, and emotionally, helping riders feel confident continuing at home. Spectators can observe the coaching process and the progress of each horse and rider team. The expected flow includes a welcome, individual lessons, and a midday theory talk on the first day. The second day features a discussion and Q&A, longer individual lessons, another midday Q&A, and a closing wrap up.

Shiloh Eagles hosts an American Cornhole Organization Season 21 regional in Belleville. Competition spans World Doubles and World Singles along with Women, Seniors, Juniors, Coed, and a Blind Draw. Entry fees are $20 for Doubles, Singles, and the Blind Draw, $10 for Women, Seniors, and Coed, and Juniors play free. A $5 door fee applies, and payout will be announced. Only ACO-stamped bags from Season 21 Bag Partners may be used in any division. Older stamped models are permitted if the manufacturer remains a Season 21 partner. An interactive training focused on domestic violence awareness and prevention, designed for people who want to strengthen their community. Participants learn to recognize indicators of abuse, respond in a safe and compassionate manner, and connect individuals with local support services. Expect clear guidance and practical, ready-to-use tools that help create a safer, better informed community.

Free Comic Book Day 2026

Twilight Comics marks Free Comic Book Day with a large giveaway of comics created just for the occasion. The event also includes a Pick-A-Duckie prize game and special savings on back issue comics, games, graphic novels, plush toys, and more.

Meditation Meetings

Guided meditation sessions hosted by the Collinsville Library take place at the Blum House with instruction from trained expert Patricia Brennan. These meetings focus on cultivating present-moment awareness and attention while highlighting that lasting happiness grows from within. Participants can explore different meditation approaches to find what works best for them. There is no requirement to sit on the floor or in lotus, to remain still for long stretches, or to try to empty the mind. Open to ages 16 and up.

Fresh Tread Car Meet #1

ThicWhipsMidwest Car Club and Scott AFB Car Club are hosting the first Fresh Tread car meet of 2026 at Discount Tire in O’Fallon, Illinois. This public gathering welcomes enthusiasts of every kind and focuses on bringing the car community together. Discount Tire has approved the meet, and staff will be on site. Parking is reserved for more than 75 vehicles, with overflow available if needed, and attendees are asked to follow the directions of the lot attendants. To keep the event safe and courteous, there is no excessive revving, no burnouts, no launches, and no littering. Violators will be asked to leave and may be prohibited from future meets.

Spontaneous Festival

A Spontaneous Festival invites the community to celebrate Odyssey of the Mind while helping a team fund its trip to the world competition in Ames, Iowa. Participants can try verbal tasks, hands-on activities, and combination challenges that spark creative and critical thinking, and the experience is open to all ages. Participation is donation based. Homemade crafts and baked goods will also be available, with all proceeds supporting travel and competition expenses.

Breathwork and Sound Integration

This collaborative session at Belle City Fitness Collaboration centers on slowing down, deep breathing, and reconnecting with the body and inner world. Facilitators Jessica Rule of Osprey Rising LLC and Cody Decker of Breath & Exposure STL guide a supportive experience that weaves together guided breathwork, live sound, and Reiki. It opens with 30 minutes of breathwork led by Cody, beginning with calming, grounding patterns and gradually moving into more activating rhythms to encourage presence and embodiment. Throughout the practice, Jessica provides a live sound journey to enrich and support the process. The final 30 minutes focus solely on sound, giving space for rest, integration, and receiving. The aim is to offer a gentle, nurturing environment for relaxation and reflection. Please plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to settle in and ask questions. For comfort, consider bringing a yoga mat, a water bottle, a blanket for warmth, pillows for head and body support, and an optional eye mask, along with any personal items that help you feel at ease.

Elite Volleyball Training: All Skills Camp 5th - 8th Grade

Build your game at an all-skills volleyball camp designed for athletes in grades 5 through 8. This session is part of Elite Volleyball Training, a spring and early summer series offered through the O’Fallon Parks & Recreation Department, and welcomes players of all experience levels. Instruction is led by a coaching duo with more than three decades of combined experience across NCAA Division I, junior college, the professional game, high school, and club volleyball. Their background includes guiding championship-caliber programs, mentoring All-Americans and conference players of the year, preparing future collegiate athletes, contributing to USA Volleyball High Performance initiatives, and steering teams to NCAA Tournament appearances and multiple titles. Now in its fourth year, this memorial fiddle contest and music in the park celebrates the life and legacy of National Open Fiddle Champion George Portz. The free outdoor gathering takes place at Shiloh Community Park, with performances and a friendly contest held under the covered pavilion where a plaque commemorates George’s contributions. Bluegrass sets by George Portz’s Friends of Bluegrass and the band Grassroots lead into the fiddle competition. A food truck and vendors will be on site, and lawn chairs are recommended. This benefit supports the George Portz Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Cheryl Eichar Jett | Aprons Away: Women's Work on Route 66

Belleville Books hosts author Cheryl Eichar Jett for a talk and signing celebrating her new release, Aprons Away: Women’s Work on Route 66. The program explores the many roles women filled along the 2,448 miles of the famed highway, including pumping gas, holding public office, creating murals, serving in the military, reporting the news, and designing buildings, theme parks, rockets, and toys. Marking the Route 66 centennial, Jett shares insights from years of research at the crossroads of women’s history and the Mother Road. An American author, playwright, and journalist, she has seven prior books, including Route 66 in Illinois, along with hundreds of articles. Her writing has appeared with Arcadia Publishing, Quarto, and ROUTE Magazine, and she holds a graduate degree in history from SIUE. She has spent a decade investigating these stories and has directed two productions of a stage play based on that work. She is also one of twelve speakers selected for the National Route 66 Centennial Speakers Series. Spike Out Suicide Glow Sand Volleyball Tournament

At The Hut Sports Bar & Grill, a glow-in-the-dark sand volleyball tournament honors Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Play begins with pool rounds, then matches continue under the glow until a champion is crowned. DJ John Kemp keeps the patio lively into the evening. Team entry covers six players and requires at least three women. The package includes six shirts, referee fees, and a guarantee of at least four games. Teams may add up to two additional players for an extra charge of $35 or $50 per person depending on when registration occurs. Entry fees range from $210 to $300 based on the registration window, and late registration at $300 does not include event shirts. Only 12 team spots are available. The first leg of a new weekend-long rolling double barbecue competition fires up with a full slate of smoke, music, and friendly rivalry. Hosted by Smithton Fire Company and sanctioned by the St. Louis BBQ Society, teams will go head-to-head in chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. A total of $12,500 is up for grabs. Entry is $150 per team, with room for up to 35 teams, and every team is automatically entered for a chance to win a Yoder YS640S pellet smoker. Expect a lively atmosphere with performances by Lane Narrows and Miranda Bury, cold beer, and plenty of memorable barbecue. For competitors, each cook site measures 20 by 20 feet, water is available, and teams should plan to provide their own power. Proceeds support sending kids to IFSA Burn Camp Camp I Am Me. This opening leg keeps the momentum rolling straight into the next stop for a full weekend of competition.

Take part in a 5K run and walk that starts and finishes at Wolf Branch Elementary School in Swansea, Illinois. The event takes place rain or shine, and there are no refunds. Entry is $30 on race day, with a $25 option available for entries postmarked by the stated deadline. Race-day T-shirt and number pickup, along with late registration, will be available. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by the stated cutoff. Male and female divisions include ages 15 and under, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Power Wheels Drag Racing

Children get a safe and exciting introduction to motorsports as they race battery-powered Power Wheels at Gateway Classic Cars (St. Louis Showroom). The focus is on confidence, sportsmanship, and family involvement through organized, head-to-head runs. Participants bring their own Power Wheels, line up in pairs, and dash down a 60-foot course, with a drag racing tree controlling the start for an authentic drag-racing feel. Competition is grouped into Stock, Modified, and Outlaws classes. A signed liability waiver is required for each racer and their guardian. Entry is $20 per participant. Awards include a trophy and cash prize for first place, a trophy for second, and additional trophies for best of show and for sportsmanship. Young Outlaws Power Wheels Drag Racing promotes a positive, family-centered atmosphere and offers entertainment that engages both kids and parents, with events that can enhance car shows and community gatherings.

World Cup Camp

At O'Fallon Sports Park, this special soccer camp welcomes players in kindergarten through eighth grade to train, compete, and celebrate the global game. Offered only once every four years, it brings a World Cup theme to every activity. Campers represent different countries and take part in customized challenges like penalty shootouts, golden goal scenarios, spirited scrimmages, and a camp-wide World Cup competition. Over the week, participants build skills and confidence while learning about international soccer through age-appropriate trivia focused on past and present teams, players, and moments. Main Street bars face off in a friendly Bloody Mary showdown where judges taste and score each entry for presentation, uniqueness, and flavor. Each participating bar provides one drink for display and another for sampling, and the top scorer earns the International Horseradish Festival Main Street Bloody Mary title. Every entry must include horseradish. The display version needs to be available for purchase at the establishment during the festival, and participants should include a brief note explaining what makes their drink unique along with the price for anyone who would like to order it.

The 3rd Annual Metro East Beer Festival returns to the patio with live music by the Brad Jackson Band and a wide range of pours from local breweries. General seating is open to the public and does not require a ticket. Participating breweries include Scratch of Ava, IL, Millpond of Milstadt, IL, White Rooster of Sparta, IL, Mississippi Culture of Staunton, IL, Shoehorn Brewing of Belleville, IL and Old Herald Brewing of Collinsville, IL, with more expected. Food will be available for purchase, including locally sourced bratwurst, barbecue and sides. A limited number of VIP tickets are available. A combined registration option offers a discounted price for the two-race series. Chip timing is provided by Final Lap Race Management. Awards recognize the overall male and female winners, along with the top two finishers in age divisions beginning with 14 and under and continuing through 65 plus. Event shirts are planned for participants, though specific sizes may be limited for later registrations. Early packet pickup is available at the Horseradish Festival, and race day pickup is also offered.

The Illinois Elvis Festival - 4th Annual

A three day celebration of Elvis Presley returns for its fourth year, highlighting the King’s journey from his early Sun Records roots to the Vegas era. Set in Collinsville, Illinois at the Gateway Convention Center, it is billed as the largest Elvis festival in the North, featuring performances by Bill Cherry, Dean Z, Jimmy Holmes, Shawn Klush, Cote Deonath, Vic Trevino, Riley Jenkins, Alex Mitchell, Finley Watkins, Logan Ramey, and Jesse Aron, all backed by the Infinit-E Band. The event offers a full slate of music and memories that honor every chapter of his legacy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for fans, friends, and families who share a love for Elvis.

2026 Joshua's Great Things 5K and Fun Run

This annual 5K and kids fun run offers two ways to take part, with both in-person and virtual options. The in-person course is in Shiloh, starting at Greenmount Crossings by Toolen's Running Start. The 5K comes first, followed immediately by the kids fun run. Those choosing the virtual format can complete the distance from any location and submit results through the race site. Registration is available for either format. The 5K run or walk is $25, with an adult price increase to $30 later. The fun run is a half mile for children 10 and under and costs $25. Packet and shirt pickup will be available at Toolen's Running Start in Shiloh, and a mail-to-you option can be selected during registration for an additional fee. All proceeds benefit pediatric brain cancer research and provide support for families through a dedicated program.

Cledus T. Judd brings his sharp country parodies to Lincoln Theatre in Belleville. Tickets are $35, with reserved seating available on a first come, first served basis, and tickets are on sale now. Breaking through in the late 1990s, Judd became known for witty sendups of country’s biggest hits, toured with Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts and Toby Keith, and had songs recorded by Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, Brantley Gilbert and others. His comedy has reached radio and television audiences as a cohost of CMT’s Most Wanted Live for two years, a cohost on USA’s Nashville Star with LeAnn Rimes, a role in Toby Keith’s film Beer For My Horses, and a stint on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club. He has sold more than two million records. Also highlighted is Ricky Melton, a plain-spoken singer songwriter from Northeast Ohio whose 2025 album Stories, Jokes & Dirty Country Music Songs topped the iTunes comedy charts with original tunes that blend sharp humor and classic twang.
