Explore The Village at Meridian on a family friendly scavenger hunt by searching for 12 hidden spring bees and blossoms. Pick up a checklist at the Concierge desk between Kona Grill and Grimaldi's, or print a downloadable version. After you find all 12, return the completed sheet to the Concierge desk to receive a prize. This activity is great for young children and a fun way to get to know The Village at Meridian. Limit one prize per child, while supplies last.

Lego Club

At Nampa Public Library, builders of all ages can stretch their imaginations by creating original designs with Legos. Younger children will find a dedicated area to explore and build with Duplos. This event offers a relaxed, creative setting for hands-on building and play.

Flesh and Blood TCG - Armory Organized Play

This casual yet competitive organized play session features Flesh and Blood, a fast-growing fantasy dueling trading card game. Bring a 60 card deck for the standard format and go head to head as a legendary hero, outfitting weapons and armor and relying on a customized deck to trade blows with your opponent. Entry is $6 plus tax, and each duel ends with a single victor.

Idaho Songwriters Association Forum

Boise songwriters take the stage in the Sapphire Room at The Riverside Hotel - Boise to share entirely original music. Presented by the Idaho Songwriters Association, this monthly forum highlights local performers and their own songs in a welcoming setting. Admission is free and all ages are welcome, with seating available on a first come, first served basis. The series is supported by volunteers and underwritten by the Idaho Songwriters Association. Songwriters may sign up on the day of the forum and should plan to perform one original piece. The Sapphire Room offers a full food and bar menu with table-side service, and parking is free and convenient.

Ripples of Her Words Concert

Idaho Fine Arts Academy brings Ripples of Her Words to the stage, a collaborative evening of new choreography and live performance by middle school dance majors and high school classical music majors. Drawing on stories from Idaho women’s history, the program weaves contemporary dance with spoken word and original piano music created by IFAA students. The venue is the Meridian Middle School Auditorium. Tickets cost $5 for students and $10 for general admission, and they can be purchased online, through performers, or at the door.

Digimon TCG - Organized Play

This organized play session for the Digimon Trading Card Game offers three rounds using a Swiss format with a $6 entry fee. Every participant receives a pack regardless of results, with opportunities to earn additional packs for round wins. Participants also receive Organized Play packs for taking part.

Red Dot League

Red Dot League offers focused practice for upcoming 3-D shoots, especially the Western Trail Classic, also called the Redding Shoot. During league sessions the entire range is reserved and general shooting is paused. Plan to bring at least four arrows and a bow stand if you have one. Archers shoot as a group at dots of varying sizes from multiple yardages. Each person uses a cardboard target with one three inch dot, two two inch dots, and four one inch dots. Score sheets are set up for groups of four and list each distance and the dot sizes. Yardages span from 2 to 28 yards, which helps confirm sliders or pins at very close distances. The first sequence uses two arrows at a large dot from 26 yards, then everyone shifts to 17 yards for two arrows at the medium dots. The next sequence begins at 14 yards, after which bows are left at the 14 yard line while arrows are scored and pulled, then two arrows are shot at 14 yards and two more at 7 yards before continuing. Scoring mirrors the Redding approach, with 8 points for the cardboard, 10 for the dot, and 11 for the center. Two arrows are taken at 26 distances for a maximum of 572 points and up to 26 possible 11s. This is a four week practice league with no handicaps and no prizes. The cost is $5 for members and $6 for nonmembers. A one time nonrefundable prepay option is available, and no additional convenience fee is charged for online signup.

Teen Reading Challenge 2026

Teens can kick off a 2026 reading challenge at Nampa Public Library by picking up a journal from the second floor information desk. Personalize it and use it to track the books you read all year. Each month begins with a fresh reading Bingo sheet available in the Teen Loft. Fill it out, turn it in, and receive a small prize.

Exhibit & Art Talk: TRASH PUPPETS

This exhibit and art talk centers on work Karl Erickson developed during his residency at Surel’s Place. Gathering debris from the Boise River Greenbelt, he fashioned puppet-like sculptures, then used 3D scanning to turn them into digital characters that move, sing, and narrate their travels. Through these animated figures, the project reflects on how human-made materials meet the more-than-human world and on the river’s role as both a connector and a boundary between Garden City and Boise. The presentation invites consideration of what people carry to the water and what is left behind, who manages those remnants, and which voices are remembered or overlooked. These characters stand in as witnesses to hidden stories, pointing to a wider network where nothing stands apart. Karl Erickson is an Associate Professor of Digital Art at Rhodes College. He holds an MFA from California Institute of the Arts and a BFA from Wayne State University, and he grew up in the Detroit area. His practice spans digital animation, video, installation, and audio visual performance, with screen-based work shown in galleries, museums, film festivals, and music venues. His art engages with the agency of nonhuman forces and entities, from plants and animals to machines, matter, electricity, and waste. He works with complex processes such as photogrammetry, modular synthesizers, and data analysis. His animation Know No Now has screened at the 2023 LINOLEUM Animation and Media Art Festival in Kyiv, the Chroma Art Film Festival in Miami where it received the 2023 award for Best Animation, and the 2023 West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival. He has been an artist in residence at Hub Feenix in Finland, The Arctic Circle twice, Loop Art, Plyspace, and Signal Culture, and is a 2025 recipient of a Current Art Fund award from Tri-Star Arts.

Thursday Night Karaoke

Hosted karaoke happens two to three times each week overall, and self-service singing is available Sunday through Tuesday. The setup features a sound and video system described by the venue as the best in the state, creating a polished backdrop for every performance. Emerging Producers Field Day

Taproots Farm Hub presents a field day focused on emerging producers, offering visits to five farm operations in the Dry Creek Valley and opportunities to hear directly from the growers. The tour begins at Dry Creek Growers with insights from Whistlepig Farm and Black Fox Farms, then continues to Fiddler's Green for a guided tour and a midday lunch break. Meridian Speedway hosts a community off-road swap meet devoted to UTVs, ATVs, dirt bikes, overland gear, parts, and accessories, with opportunities to buy, sell, trade, or simply browse for deals. Full vehicles are welcome too, including side-by-sides, ATVs, and motorcycles, with a designated Used Car Alley available for 10 dollars per vehicle. Vendor options include a personal 3 by 6 table for 10 dollars, a 10 by 10 canopy space for 50 dollars, a 10 by 20 canopy space for 100 dollars, and a 20 by 20 or larger space for 150 dollars. Shriners Children's Health Screening Clinic

El Korah Shriners present a no-cost health screening clinic focused on identifying children who may need specialty pediatric care, including support for orthopedic needs, burns, spine and spinal cord concerns, scoliosis, craniofacial differences, and more. Volunteer licensed medical providers conduct screenings that typically take about 30 minutes. No appointment is required, and walk-ins are welcome. Children showing signs such as a curved spine, sore or stiff joints, bowed legs, knocked knees, in-toeing, toe walking, club feet, limb differences or length discrepancies, or concerns about head shape are encouraged to be evaluated. Screenings address a wide range of issues involving bones, joints, and muscles, as well as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, scoliosis, hip disorders, clubfoot, skeletal growth abnormalities, cleft lip or palate, burn scars, and colorectal or gastrointestinal conditions. Children who may benefit from treatment will receive referrals to Shriners Children’s, where care is provided regardless of insurance status or a family’s ability to pay. Patients up to age 18, including those from outside the United States, are eligible. In many cases, El Korah Shriners can also help reimburse travel to the hospitals based on family need, supported by fundraising efforts across Idaho. This clinic takes place at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County in Meridian.

Idaho Gives is an annual, four-day, statewide effort that brings people together to raise money and awareness for nonprofits. This performance supports Surel’s Place, with admission free and a suggested donation of $20 or more to help reach a $7,000 goal. The trio has earned local praise for rich harmonies, Sean Hatton’s standout vocals, and an Americana sound that recalls classic folk influences, including comparisons to Crosby, Stills and Nash. Jak’s Place Paints *all ages welcome

Create a finished canvas to take home at a relaxed painting session at Jak*s Place Neighborhood Grill. All ages are welcome and participants of every skill level can take part. Everything you need is included, from canvas and paints to brushes and aprons. Food and drinks are available for purchase on site. Tickets are available and may sell out. Riftbound Unleashed Pre-Rift Event

Infinite Heroes Games hosts a pre-rift event for Riftbound’s third set, Unleashed. Participants receive a kit to build a deck, then compete against others who are doing the same. The entry fee is $35, with additional prizes awarded based on performance.

Flesh and Blood TCG - Armory Organized Play

May 2026 Infertility Support Meeting

An infertility support meeting takes place on the first Monday each month. Look for the group at Royal Coffee Co. in The Village at a table marked with a Resolve sign. Salsa Dance Classes Tuesdays and Thursdays

Tuesday and Thursday evenings at The Farm in Garden City feature salsa instruction and practice. Branches of Hope: Children’s Grief Support Group

This supportive group is for children ages 8 to 12 who have experienced the death of someone close. Offered at no cost to the community, it uses age-appropriate activities and guided conversations to help participants understand grief and how it unfolds, identify and express emotions in healthy ways, navigate challenges related to loss, and develop coping skills for difficult moments. Literature in the Garden

At Nampa Public Library, kids explore how clouds and weather affect plants through interactive learning and playful imagination, including picturing themselves as a cloud. New Life Discipleship & Recovery Program Graduation

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is holding a graduation at Ten Mile Christian Church to honor men and women completing the New Life Discipleship & Recovery Program. The celebration recognizes 21 graduates and includes a light dinner before the ceremony. Since 1996, more than 416 people have completed the New Life program, a 12 to 24 month addiction recovery program centered on discipleship, accountability, and a Bible based curriculum. Boise Music Festival 2026

For 15 years, Boise Music Festival has been a family tradition in the Treasure Valley, welcoming people from across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. At Expo Idaho, the 15th annual edition fills the fairgrounds with a full day of music and family entertainment. Six stages are set throughout the venue to keep live music going. The main stage spotlights Marshmello, Sean Paul, Everclear, Eve 6 and MKTO. Five additional stages feature up to fifty local and regional performers, with sounds spanning acoustic, pop, country, bluegrass, folk, rock, hip hop and alternative. The experience extends beyond the stages with a food court offering more than 40 vendors and 5 to 7 beer and wine booths. A cornhole play area north of the Expo Building invites all ages to join the fun. The Ultimate Heating Air & Plumbing Cool Zone is a premium viewing area by the main stage with tables, a party tent and its own food and beverage concessions, and entry is limited to guests 21 and older. The carnival midway includes 12 to 15 rides and games, and all day wristbands for unlimited rides are available for purchase online. Vendor Village showcases over 100 artists, crafters and merchandise vendors. Families can cool off in an indoor kids play area with activities and on stage entertainment, and nearby exhibitor booths present product information, demonstrations, sampling and family activities.

Optimize highlights evidence-based strategies for performance, vitality, and longevity that work in everyday life. Align looks at how environment, energy, and daily routines shape overall well-being, with guidance for integrating new practices. Attendance centers on a curated group of guests, with the main event complemented by a limited-capacity VIP immersion. Pass options include a single day for the main program or a two-day experience that adds the VIP component, which is limited to 80 participants. Attendees leave with actionable tools to regulate stress, strategies to support energy and metabolism, a clearer understanding of how their bodies function, and new connections with like-minded peers and experts. Get hands on with printmaking by designing and carving a custom stamp. Choose from four thoughtfully prepared designs, learn to transfer your choice onto a wood mounted linoleum block, and use carving tools with guidance to shape crisp lines. After carving, ink and test your stamp to create personalized cards, tags, journals, gift wrap, and more. No prior experience is required. Instruction is led by local artist and art educator Kaitlyn Ferguson. All materials are provided and lunch is included. Space is limited, and advance payment is required to hold a spot. Idaho Songwriters Association Forum

Local songwriters take the spotlight as the Idaho Songwriters Association presents its monthly forum, dedicated entirely to original music. Boise artists share their own songs in a concert setting with admission free and audiences of all ages welcome. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Performers can register in person and should be ready to play one original piece. The series is supported by volunteers and underwritten by the Idaho Songwriters Association. 3rd Annual FIRECRACKER CLASSIC (Boise/Meridian, ID) - NCS Cafarelli

Now in its third year, this youth baseball tournament brings teams together from across the Northwest for multi-day competition in Boise and Meridian, Idaho. Divisions span 8U through 18U, and the format includes a four game guarantee. Games are planned at Settlers Park along with additional local fields. The previous edition welcomed 64 teams, the largest turnout in Idaho last year.
