This second Fayette Investor Network discovery meeting continues a series aimed at building understanding of crowdfunding and angel investing in the community. The first gathering drew 45 participants, including business owners interested in forming an investor network, residents who want to support the local economy, and both new and experienced investors ready to help build the Fayette Investor Network.

Preschool Storytime

This preschool storytime is for children ages 3 to 5 with a parent or caregiver. Engaging stories help build vocabulary and strengthen the ability to focus, and simple activities and crafts support fine motor practice. The setting is safe and playful so children can grow their social skills while getting ready for school.

Enjoy story time and crafting. This activity is geared toward preschool-aged children, and will take place inside the Books-A-Million cafe.

Writers Circle/Prose

This is a monthly writing group where adults can share and refine their prose writing, no matter the genre. This group gathers on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Prostate Cancer Information Group

A support group is available for men with prostate cancer and their families. The groups goal is to share information and increase understanding of prostate cancer.

Dixie Belle Furniture Painting Workshop

A hands-on workshop at Junk Mama's General Store focuses on transforming a small piece with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint. The session uses Chalk Mineral Paint only, not Silk or Terra. Bring an item no larger than a kitchen chair, such as a small side table, jewelry box, or crate. If working on a larger project like a dresser, two drawers may be brought instead. Pieces with high gloss or laminate finishes are not allowed because they require extra preparation. The fee is $50 and paint is not included. Registration and payment are required in advance to reserve a spot. Ages 16 and up. No refunds.

April 29th Storytime

SCT and the Fayette County Library present a monthly preschool storytime and activity celebrating bees and the people who care for them. The program begins at the library with a free reading of The Thing About Bees by Shabazz Larkin. After the story, an optional session at the Fayette Environmental Education Center offers a hands-on honeybee and flower craft to take home, a simple reminder of how important bees are. The craft portion has a $3 fee per participant, and members attend free. Registration is encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome. Parking is available at the Fayette County Library in the back left of the lot, where a flag marks the entrance to a short trail leading to the nature center.

Pokemon League

Open to all ages with an emphasis on younger players ages 6 to 13, this Pokémon League invites participants to play, battle, and trade. Children are encouraged to bring one of the following to take part: a smartphone or tablet for Pokémon Go, a Nintendo Switch for Pokémon games, or Pokémon trading cards for trading or battling. Parents of elementary age children must remain nearby at all times, and parents of older children are advised to stay in the library. Because card theft has occurred in the past, a weekly Pokémon Theft Acknowledgement Waiver is required before drop off. Players 13 and older may sign their own form. The waiver explains that children, parents, and players are responsible for watching their belongings. Labeling all Pokémon items and toys ahead of time is recommended to help prevent loss or theft. No registration is required.

HCCA Benefit Gala

Now in its third year, the HCCA Benefit Gala brings guests together at Trilith LIVE for an evening focused on vision, faith, and student success. The program includes remarks from guest speaker Alex Kendrick and outlines plans for growth, including a high school expansion. Proceeds support HCCA by funding the operating budget and scholarships. The event centers on building a lasting foundation for the years ahead and equipping the next generation of Christ followers.

On Camera and Audition - Littles

Participants are encouraged to bring one way to play, such as a smartphone or tablet for Pokémon Go, a Nintendo Switch for video game battles, or trading cards for trading or casual matches. For the safety of personal items, a weekly Pokémon Theft Acknowledgement Waiver is required before children are dropped off, and players 13 or older may sign their own form. This family-friendly sixth annual 5K raises funds to fight hunger and malnutrition. The certified, chip-timed route begins at the Midwest Food Bank Georgia facility and follows Peachtree City’s cart path network, and results can be used to qualify for the Peachtree Road Race. Runners and walkers of all experience levels can take part. Look for an energizing Zumba warmup, TCBY treats, and a two-lane water slide to cool off after the finish. Registration is $45 with a $5 discount at checkout for participants under 18. Race-day registration costs $50 for adults and $45 for those under 18. A virtual run or walk option is available for those who prefer to participate remotely. Every dollar raised helps provide thirty dollars’ worth of food for the local community. For safety and liability reasons, strollers, wheelchairs, bicycles, and dogs are not permitted on the course.

Prologue Dining & Drinks presents a Mother’s Day brunch centered on celebrating Mom with a generous, chef-driven spread. Presented by the Kiwanis Club of Fayette County, this 12th annual beer, wine, and music festival takes place at Fairway Social Trilith. Angelina David, an Atlanta-based actor, singer, and songwriter, brings a live performance to Fairway Social Trilith. She regularly performs around the Southeast and began taking the stage at age five after growing up in Germantown, Tennessee. Two years ago she released her debut single and also took on producing and directing for the music video. She is currently recording an EP planned for release in summer 2026.

2026 FORE THE PAWS Charity Golf Outing

Registration is open for a charity golf outing at Flat Creek Country Club benefiting the Fayette Humane Society in partnership with Dogtopia of Peachtree City-Tyrone. The tournament features a four-person scramble designed for friendly competition and an easygoing day on the course. More than 215 golfers from across Georgia are anticipated. Registration is $150, and the day will include smiles from adoptable pets cheering from the sidelines. Last year brought a fifth consecutive sellout and raised over $40,000 to help 1,600 animals in need. With Dogtopia of PTC-Tyrone serving as the platinum sponsor, organizers are building on that momentum. Support can include sponsorships, raffle prizes, or items for goody bags. All proceeds directly fund veterinary care for animals in the foster network, including spay-and-neuter services, vaccinations, and medical treatments. This one-night pop-up film festival is a celebration of Black women in film. Finding Nemo Kids

The Legacy at Landmark students present a musical adapted from the Pixar movie, Finding Nemo. Landmark’s youngest thespians have been training all year in vocal, acting, and dancing skills, and are ready for the main stage. The production is a 30-minute musical adaptation of the movie with new music. The story follows Marlin, an anxious clownfish, who lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his son Nemo. When Nemo is captured, Marlin sets off on an adventure across the ocean, with the help of friends such as Dory and Crush. The musical features memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow.”

The Randy Travis: More Life Tour

A live biographical concert tracing the life and career of country legend Randy Travis, featuring vocalist James Dupré from The Price. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee’s longtime touring band returns, with Steve Hinson, David Johnson, Lance Dary, Bill Cook, Joe Van Dyke, and Herb Shucher onstage and tour manager Jeff Davis back with the team. Reunited with "Hoss" after his life-changing stroke in 2013, they celebrate the music that shaped his legacy. Campers take part in guided camera work, engaging exercises, scene study, and activities that build confidence. The experience wraps up with a recorded showcase of their work. The fee is $125.

Sogility Summer Youth Soccer Camp (Half & Full Day)

Designed for ages 6 to 14, this summer soccer camp focuses on building skills, confidence, and a love for the game in a supportive, high‑energy setting. Campers can choose half day or full day options. Each week centers on a clear development theme and blends technical training with small sided games, friendly competition, and kid friendly technology to keep players learning and engaged. Participants work on ball mastery and a cleaner first touch, improve quickness and coordination, make smarter decisions under game pressure, and gain confidence in one on one attacking and defending while practicing teamwork and having fun. John Waite and John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band

John Waite takes the stage with a career-spanning set from his solo work and his years with The Babys and Bad English. The night draws on radio favorites from the 80s and 90s, including “Missing You,” “Isn’t It Time,” and “When I See You Smile,” along with “Tears,” “Change,” and “These Times Are Hard for Lovers.” Film credits include “Every Step of the Way” and “If Anybody Had a Heart” from About Last Night, and “Deal for Life” from Days of Thunder. His sound blends soaring ballads with driving arena rock, with occasional flashes of power pop that helped define rock radio across the late 70s and 80s. Sharing the bill, John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band bring a multi-platinum legacy that began in 1973 and broke wide with the Eddie & the Cruisers soundtrack. “On the Dark Side” topped the Billboard Rock and MTV video charts for five weeks, and the album earned triple Platinum status. All Star Cheerleading Fayetteville

This program features weekly practices beginning in June. In August, attendance becomes mandatory with two practices each week. Practice days are based on team placement, which is decided after tryouts in April. The season runs from June through July and includes two to four competitions per season depending on the team. National Trail Day - Peachtree City Gin Branch

American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day highlights trail stewardship, healthy living, and education about the value of green spaces. At the Peachtree City Gin Branch Greenspace, this effort centers on maintaining trails and removing litter and debris as part of the Keep-PTC-Beautiful Adopt-A-Path program. Participating Peachtree City residents may apply for stormwater utility credit. The Gin Branch Greenspace spans more than 21 acres of public land with multi-use path connections and existing routes following the Gin Branch of Flat Creek. There is potential to improve over a mile of natural surface trails suitable for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking to serve the Kedron neighborhood, and this proposed project is included in the 2025 Peachtree City Recreation Master Plan. Participants are encouraged to bring work gloves and wear hiking shoes while moving through the area to work on the paths and collect trash. Junior Firefighter Summer Camp 2026

Now in its third year, the Fayetteville Fire Department is offering a hands-on Junior Firefighter Summer Camp for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who maintain at least a C average. Participants will train with certified firefighters and take part in apparatus and equipment checks, physical fitness activities, fire safety instruction, teamwork exercises, and demonstrations of real-world firefighting skills. PTC Ukulele Camp

PTC Ukulele Camp gives students a chance to learn the ukulele from the beginning or build on skills they already have through a week of playing and guided instruction. This camp is open to incoming second graders and older.

Raptors After Dark

A special adults-only evening pairs craft beverages with close encounters featuring live raptors. Sip a locally made drink while exploring the world of these remarkable birds in a relaxed, intimate setting that feels far from a typical bar visit. Take a close look at some of Georgia’s birds of prey and learn about their adaptations, natural history, and other engaging facts. After the program, snap a photo with one of the birds to remember the experience. Dinner will be available from the Pizza 360 food truck before the program, and signature brews from Line Creek will be offered for purchase throughout the evening. Proceeds support Nature’s Echo, a local nonprofit focused on environmental education and raptor conservation across the Southeast.

Movie in the Park- Summer Series

An outdoor movie series lights up City Center Park with a relaxed night on the lawn for families and friends. Bring lawn chairs and cozy blankets, spread out on the grass, and settle in for big-screen favorites under the evening sky. The lineup spans the season with The Sandlot in June, Lilo & Stitch in July, and Little Giants in August. Hungry guests can pick up dinner and treats from Hog Pit BBQ, Ms. Pizza, and Scoops, or pack a picnic from home. The Kick It 3v3 2026 World Tour brings a high-energy soccer tournament to Northgate High School with multiple ways to compete. Enter as a full 3v3 team or sign up as an individual, and explore additional competitions in 1v1 and soccer tennis. The soccer tennis format also works well for parents and children to pair up as teammates. Divisions include youth and adult brackets, with girls and boys from U6 through U19, plus men’s, women’s and coed categories. Every team is guaranteed at least four games. Medals are awarded for first, second and third place, and referees select a sportsmanship recipient. Results also count toward points for the World Championship in Vail. Youth individual 3v3 entries include a paid, qualified coach at $105 per player. Adult and U19 individual 3v3 entries are $65 per player. The 1v1 bracket is $50 per player, limited to 40 participants across all ages, and the winner earns a champion’s medal. Soccer tennis is $120 per team for two to four players and is capped at 20 teams across all ages. Festivities begin with the Fayette Historical Society hosting a Courthouse celebration on the Historic Courthouse Square that honors community roots and the nation’s story. The following afternoon, the Fayette Historical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution present a ceremony at the Courthouse Square that includes the tradition of bell ringing to commemorate 250 years. As night falls, Main Street’s 4th of July Bash brings a finale in the park with a large fireworks display, food trucks, a DJ, inflatables for kids, and select vendors.
