A full-time artist who plays more than 200 shows a year, he moves easily from tender melodic phrases to gritty solos and expressive slide guitar. His songs have reached the Grammys’ consideration ballots three years running, with “We’re All Still Here” in 2023, “Hard Rain” in 2024, and “Eve of Revolution” in 2025, and “Hard Rain” also earned a 2025 Josie Award nod for Americana Song of the Year. “We’re All Still Here,” written after displacement caused by Hurricane Ian, underscores how lived experience fuels his writing.
