Central FL Tournament

The Central FL Tournament takes place at Osceola Science Charter School and features both individual and team testing. Teams consist of up to five students from the same school in grades 3 to 4, 5 to 6, or 7 to 8, and teams may include students from different grades. Each team is evaluated at the level of its highest grade member, while every student also completes individual tests aligned to their own grade. Individual rounds have 15 questions in 30 minutes, and team rounds have 10 questions in 20 minutes. The entry fee is $15 per student. Memorial Day Hike at Split Oak Forest

Start Memorial Day with a thoughtful walk through Split Oak Forest alongside the Save Split Oak team, with time to appreciate the landscape and consider its protection for the future. This guided outing moves through a key Central Florida conservation area and wildlife corridor, offering a calm pace for learning and conversation. Along the way, guides share the history of how the forest came under protection and explain current efforts to safeguard it. There is also an opportunity to connect with others who care about public lands and to hear about ways to stay engaged, from future hikes to public input opportunities. Comfortable walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellent are recommended. Participants are asked to respect wildlife and fragile habitats by following Leave No Trace principles. The hike is led by Bob Stein with the Save Split Oak team.

Kids Golf Camp | Nike Junior Golf Camp | Royal St. Cloud Golf Links (Half Day)

Young athletes can develop confidence and real golf skills at a half-day Nike Junior Golf Camp held at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links in St. Cloud, Florida. Led by Camp Director Coach Roger, the coed program welcomes ages 8 to 17, including complete beginners and kids trying the sport for the first time. Coaching covers the full game, from putting and short-game fundamentals to chipping, pitching, bunker work, and full-swing development, along with on-course strategy and guidance on etiquette, focus, and confidence. Campers are grouped by age and ability to foster a supportive setting, and instruction takes place in small groups with an approximately 1 to 8 staff to player ratio. Each participant receives a Nike hat, a Nike drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, a camp workbook, and a graduation certificate. Players should bring golf clubs, a glove, golf balls and tees, a water bottle, and a protein-rich snack that fits in a golf bag.
