This approach can ease stress, release tension while caring for joints, improve flexibility and circulation, and support emotional steadiness and mental clarity. It suits those who prefer a slower, more meditative pace and is open to all ages and experience levels. Bring a yoga mat and a reusable water bottle. A small selection of props is available, and you are welcome to bring blocks, a bolster, a blanket, or any items that help you feel fully supported. Cocoa Beach PierExpress Yourself - Homeschool Session
A homeschool art class for middle and high school students centers on Teaching for Artistic Behavior, giving each participant the chance to work like an artist in a studio-style setting. It is designed for learners with a strong interest in the arts who are ready to plan, problem solve, and apply artistic habits. Ages 12 and up are welcome, and no prior experience is required. Age exceptions may be considered at the instructor’s discretion. Classes often open with creative warm ups or sketching to help students settle into the process. When a medium such as watercolor is introduced, time is devoted to exploring techniques and viewing examples, then students choose their own ideas, plan compositions, and create. They experiment with materials, apply new skills, and reflect on their work alongside peers. Finished pieces vary based on each artist’s interests, abilities, and techniques. A professional artist and educator mentors the group, presenting concepts, demonstrating materials, and supporting each student’s vision while encouraging growth in more advanced approaches and styles. Participants build patience and focus, gain confidence, and learn to adapt when outcomes change. Artistic study can provide emotional release, reduce stress and anxiety, and help connect ideas from history to the present day. Concept visualization sharpens thinking that supports other academic areas, and fine arts practice develops motor skills and hand–eye coordination. The cost is $25 per class, or $150 for a six-class session of 1.5-hour classes, with all supplies included. Scheduling may adjust around holidays or studio needs, and some dates within a session may run slightly differently. Completed work will reflect each artist’s personal flair and level of engagement. Wear clothing suitable for getting messy, since some media do not wash out easily. Aprons are available, though not everyone prefers to use them. All art supplies are provided, and students should bring a water bottle; a snack is also suggested. For questions or more information, contact Barbara at 321-749-9808, or reach out by email or social media to arrange a time to visit the studio.

Gary Puckett returns with "Young Girl", "Over You", "Woman, Woman", "This Girl Is A Woman Now", "Lady Willpower", and "Don't Give In To Him".
