Dixon's Violin

At Circle Theatre, acclaimed artist Dixon presents a live, solo exploration of the electric violin that reshapes what the instrument can do. He improvises on a five-string electric violin and layers sounds in real time with a looping system he designed, creating an all-live, symphonic experience from a single performer and drawing on his own transformative life story. A former leader in the tech industry and a member of a symphony orchestra, he left that career to pursue this path full time, and has since given more than a thousand concerts across North America, five TED appearances, and long-running appearances at gatherings such as Burning Man and Electric Forest, along with features on radio, television, and film. Audiences often describe the performance as dreamlike and unforgettable, with powerful emotions that have led to tears and a standing ovation. This indoor, seated event welcomes all ages. Tickets are $29 in advance and $35 on the day of the show if available, with tickets for children 12 and under priced at $5.
