ARM Your Pet - Free Dog Wellness Event

Designed to support pets in the community, this ARM Your Pet dog wellness clinic at Barnett Park offers free core services for Orange County residents. At no cost to dog owners, the event provides the rabies vaccine, the DAPP combination vaccine, the Bordetella vaccine, and a microchip with lifetime registration, helping protect pets from disease and reducing the risk of them becoming lost or stolen. Services are available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, with a limit of two dogs per household and Orange County residency required. Dogs must remain on leash. For safety, OCAS may choose to muzzle certain dogs, and pets that cannot be safely handled will be refused service. Due to health and safety concerns, OCAS cannot assist dogs with a history of vaccine reactions, current medical conditions, or those that are reactive toward other pets or people. The previous clinic served nearly 350 dogs, and this event aims to reach 500.

Held each Saturday at Full Throttle Raceway & Pro Shop, this championship series brings racers together to face off on track, earn points, and chase podium spots. Competition spans multiple classes with podiums awarded each race night, and drivers of all experience levels are welcome. Three cars are required to create a class, and competitors arrive with their builds and pit boxes as consistency, speed, and racecraft make the difference. The day moves from gates opening to a dedicated practice and setup period, followed by racing. The first entry for non-club members is $20. The format sparks rivalries, shapes future champions, and offers a place to prove performance on the track.

Capone’s Underground Dinner Show

Day’s Trips organizes a bus outing to Capone’s Dinner & Show in Orlando for Capone’s Underground, a new 1920s themed murder mystery comedy presented at a new location. The bus departs from PSL with an additional pickup in Vero, then travels directly to the venue and returns after the performance. Local Legends Showdown

A multi night band battle marks 41 years of Fillin’, featuring local acts squaring off across two preliminary rounds and a final. The opening matchup showcases Megan Gunn & the Pistoleros and Firewater on the turf at Johnny’s Other Side, with each group delivering two alternating sets while the crowd decides who advances. The second matchup uses the same format with Ancient Sun and The Good Ol’ Boys, also on the turf. Winners meet for a showdown on a main stage set in the parking lot. Audience voting drives the action, with a single token given to each guest during the first two rounds, and additional tokens available during the final with every sponsor drink bought. The champion earns a cash award.

Universal 5K Saturday Mornings

Start the day with a friendly 3.1 mile run through Universal Orlando Resort. The group welcomes every pace and all experience levels, creating an inclusive atmosphere for both newcomers and seasoned runners. There is no fee to participate, though regular Universal Orlando Resort parking charges may apply. Rideshare and guest drop-off areas are available at no cost. WMF: Mudita 1st EP Release Concert

In honor of International Day of the Midwife, the Central Florida Birth Network presents its third annual celebration of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and early parenting with a free outdoor expo. Whether pregnant, planning, supporting a loved one, or exploring careers in wellness, attendees can meet midwives, doulas, healthcare providers, and wellness makers while discovering services and resources from the local birth and wellness community. Twin Lake Restoration

Hosted by the Seminole County Lake Management Program and the SERV Program, this hands-on restoration effort focuses on planting vegetation along the Twin Lake shoreline to enhance ecosystem function, support wildlife habitat, and improve water quality. The work takes place in the water, and getting muddy and wet is part of the experience. Participation is free. Closed toe shoes are required, such as boots, water shoes, or old sneakers that can get wet. Wearing old clothes and bringing work gloves and sun protection are recommended, and sun and bug protection may be desired. Each volunteer must submit a completed liability form upon arrival, and forms are available at the bottom of the SERV webpage. Downtown merchants and the City of Winter Garden present a day of shopping, dining and strolling in the Winter Garden Downtown Historic District, complete with Raffle May-nia and live music. The celebration suits many plans, whether picking up gifts for occasions like Mother’s Day or graduations, refreshing a spring and summer wardrobe or home, or simply enjoying the seasonal scenery. Look for the raffle notice in the windows of participating shops and restaurants. A raffle ticket comes with any purchase, and every additional $25 spent earns another. 10th Annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run & Festival

Now in its tenth year, this run and festival honors those lost in the Pulse tragedy and supports ongoing healing across the community. Launched in 2017 by UCF graduate students, it has grown into an annual gathering shaped by survivors, families, friends, and neighbors. Presented by Orlando Health, the event directs registration proceeds to the Orlando United Pulse Memorial fund to help build a permanent memorial planned to open in 2027. Participants are invited to share their personal why by writing it on their race bib and carrying that message throughout the event. Taking place at City of Orlando - City Hall, it centers on remembrance, connection, and movement.

Adopt-A-Tree: Barnett Park

Presented in partnership with Orange County, Florida Government, the Adopt-A-Tree program returns to Barnett Park for a tree pickup. Trees benefit wildlife, offer shade around homes, and help capture carbon from the air. Residents may pick up available species while supplies last, with a limit of two per household, and should bring proof of residency such as a driver license, photo ID, or utility bill. Species are delivery dependent and may include live oak, crape myrtle, bald cypress, red maple, winged elm, shumard oak, southern magnolia, Japanese blueberry, and trumpet tree.

Myrtle Lake Restoration

Volunteers will plant shoreline vegetation at Myrtle Lake to boost ecosystem function, create habitat, and enhance water quality. The work takes place in the water, and getting muddy and wet is part of the experience. Participation is free. Closed toe shoes are required, such as boots, water shoes, or old sneakers that can get wet. Wearing old clothes and work gloves is recommended, and sun and bug protection may be helpful. This production is presented by Encore Performing Arts, a nonprofit with more than two decades of fostering creativity in the performing arts while supporting charitable work across Central Florida. Backed by a volunteer force of over 300, the organization has a long history of high caliber productions and has generated more than $325,000 for a wide range of nonprofits. A portion of ticket sales from this run supports the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. Disney's Frozen is produced under a special arrangement with Music Theater International, with licensed materials provided by MTI.

AHA 2026: Autism Health and Abilities National Conference is a two day gathering focused on supporting families and empowering futures. Designed for caregivers of individuals with autism, it offers expert led education, practical resources, and opportunities to connect with a supportive community. Leaders from medical, therapeutic, financial, and emotional care share insights to help families plan their next steps and advocate with confidence. Sessions cover genetics, the gut brain connection, guardianship, financial planning, and family dynamics, with an emphasis on practical tools for everyday choices and long term planning. The event takes place at Northland Church in Longwood, Florida and is presented by NeuroNeeds and Abilities Workshop.

Annual BELAC Childhood cancer 5K

Hosted by the B.E.L.A.C. Foundation, this annual Childhood Cancer 5K brings the community together to raise awareness and support families navigating pediatric cancer. Participants can run or walk the course, and are encouraged to wear team colors or gear to honor a personal connection to the cause. In addition to the 5K, the day includes family friendly fun with games and music, plus a Hope Cards station where uplifting messages can be shared. A Poster Spotlight presents a moving display that pays tribute to children who have faced, or are currently facing, cancer, creating a space for reflection and solidarity.
