Large Surfboard Class

Create an ocean-inspired resin art piece on a 23 inch by 7.5 inch bamboo surfboard in this hands-on class. Participants receive a board plus three small wooden turtles, sand, seashells, mica powder, and resin. The process starts by mixing resin so it can begin to set, followed by painting the turtles. Then build a sandy shoreline, tint the resin with teal mica powders to form the water, pour it onto the board, and finish by shaping wave effects with alcohol ink and air blowers. Guests may bring their own beverages, including wine and beer. The cost is $75. Advance registration and payment through the organizer’s website are required, and marking Going on Facebook does not hold a spot. Guided step by step by seasoned instructor John Hunter, participants explore the art and philosophy of bonsai, including potting, pruning, shaping, and wiring. No experience is required. Over the course of this two-hour session, guests style a bonsai by hand and take it home along with everything needed to care for it well beyond the workshop. 2026 Bands on the Beach - Johnny Earthquake and The Moondogs

Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs bring a big, high-energy sound to Pensacola Beach’s free outdoor summer concert series at the Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, with the Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop. Formed three decades ago by friends who began by jamming at parties, the band has grown into a widely recognized, in-demand showband throughout the South. Little Critter Summer Camp (July Week)

Little Critter Camp welcomes children ages 4 to 7 to ECWR’s introductory youth program that blends games, creative crafts, storytime, and opportunities to interact with animals to foster a connection with Florida’s wildlife. Each day centers on a different group of native species, featuring mammals, reptiles, birds, and marine life. This is a drop-off program. Participants must be potty trained and should bring a snack and water. Families can register for the full week at $200 or choose individual days at $65 each. Enrollment includes a camp spot, a T-shirt, and all planned activities, and proceeds support wildlife rehabilitation. Older children can explore the separate Camp CROW option. Haven Summer Art Experience (Grades 4–6) – Week 8 🎨 Texture & Imagination: Mountain Studio

Week 8 of the Haven Summer Art Experience welcomes students in grades 4 to 6 into a quiet, purposeful studio to explore textures, the natural world, and their imaginations through art. Drawing inspiration from mountain landscapes and organic patterns, participants experiment with layered materials, guided painting, mixed media, and visual storytelling. Instruction is led by Katie, an experienced art teacher who has been working with young artists since 1999. This session is a good fit for students who enjoy creating on their own. Space is limited. Bahama Berry Bonsai Workshop, Navarre

At St. Michael’s Brewing Company, this Level 2 workshop in the Flowering and Fruiting Bonsai series spotlights the Bahama Berry, or Nashia inaguensis, a species appreciated for delicate foliage, an open, airy form, and a naturally sweet fragrance that adds a sensory dimension to bonsai. Previous experience is recommended, and it offers a natural next step for those who have completed a Dwarf Jade beginner session. Over two hours, participants focus on shaping and selective pruning, along with care techniques that support healthy growth and preserve fragrance, all guided step by step by seasoned instructor John Hunter. The setting is easygoing and social, encouraging creativity and connection while providing a calm, hands-on experience. Each ticket covers one guest and includes a pre-pruned tree, an individual workspace, full access to professional tools, and a premium Japanese ceramic pot. A curated care kit is also provided, featuring a tote bag, spray bottle, mini shears, fertilizer with a basket, a Zen Den sticker, and detailed aftercare instructions, and gloves are available for those who prefer them. Every attendee leaves with a living bonsai they have styled themselves and the resources to continue caring for it at home. Seashell Sealife or Christmas Tree Mixed Media $40pp

Create a one of a kind mixed media artwork by combining seashells, beach glass, driftwood, and more with paint on canvas. The class lasts about 2 to 2.5 hours. You may bring a smock, and all other supplies are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring small or medium seashells from their own collection to personalize the piece. 2026 Bands on the Beach -Mass Kunfuzion

Mass-Conn-Fusion features musicians from both Massachusetts and Connecticut, reflecting roots that trace to the University of Connecticut where bassist James Healy founded the group. Originally called Conn-Fusion, the band took on its current name after extensive performing in Massachusetts with players from both states. The setlist spans Motown, R&B, and funk, along with songs from the 1960s through today, performed by a full lineup that includes female lead vocalists, horns, and a solid rhythm section. The group has been active for more than four decades.
