2026 Bands on the Beach - Modern Eldorados

Classic country and early rock and roll take the spotlight as The Modern Eldorados bring a 1950s-inspired sound to the Gulfside Pavilion for Bands on the Beach. Expect nods to favorites like George Jones, Patsy Cline, and Elvis, delivered with a warm sense of nostalgia. Formed in 1996 to showcase singer and songwriter Gretsch Lyles’ original take on classic country, the band reflects the influences that shaped him from an early age. Raised in a musical family in rural Baldwin County, Alabama, Lyles began singing and playing guitar at six and wrote his first song at sixteen. His work follows the lineage of heroes such as Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash, and his sound and style clearly show those roots. On stage the group turns a concert into a lively journey through honky tonk history, mixing spirited performances with Lyles’ southern humor for an engaging, story-rich show. This performance is part of Pensacola Beach’s free outdoor summer concert series, presented by the Santa Rosa Island Authority at the Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
