A community full moon gathering welcomes all ages for an evening of intention setting, release, and shared music. This is a free event supported by love donations. The evening opens with complimentary shamanic clearings, followed by fire spinning, community drumming and singing. Tarot readings are available for purchase. Participants will craft a small pencil-sized stick for use in the ceremony or may bring one already decorated, then set intentions to let go of up to three things that no longer serve them. Arriving on time helps ensure there is time for the clearing and for preparing the ceremony stick. MelBOOM brings a citywide Independence Day celebration to Front Street Park with a fireworks spectacular marking America’s 250th birthday. Expect a full day of activity featuring emcee Christopher Long, live music from Phoenix Band, the National Anthem performed by the Star Spangled Singer Showcase winner, and a sky-brightening finale, weather permitting. A wide variety of food trucks will be on site, including Better Call Dogs, Tasty Freeze 2.0, Kona Ice, The Hangry Spartan, Gran Arepa, Strong Island Ice Cream, Mac & Fries, Hunnyz Wingz & Thingz, Rice Rice Baby, Paris Creperie, and Paisley Kitchen in collaboration with Pita Pyramid. The format features five games across five pairs, with a move one pair to the right after each game, and it will be contested on a modified house pattern. Payout is set at 1 in 4. Handicap is calculated at 90 percent of 220, using each bowler’s highest 2025 to 2026 yearbook average. If a 2025 to 2026 yearbook is not available, the highest current average with at least 21 games will be used. An optional scratch division is offered for 20 dollars per bowler, and all of those funds go directly to the prize pool with no administrative fee. Youth participants are welcome, with payouts processed through the SMART program. Adults will find brackets, high game, and blind draw options available. Payments may be made via Zelle by scanning the QR code and including a note with the bowler’s name and USBC number, or in cash at the center.
