Palm Beach Gardens MarriottAdvanced Open Water
Advance your diving with a focused training experience at Jupiter Dive Center that builds confidence, refines navigation skills, and improves buoyancy control while introducing new types of underwater exploration. Everyone completes deep diving, underwater navigation, and buoyancy work, then selects two additional adventure dives with the instructor to match personal interests. Options can include boat diving, digital underwater imaging, drift diving, fish identification, wreck exploration, and more. The academic portion is completed online before entering the water. In the water, plan for five dives that blend shore entries and boat charters, and expect boat outings to run as drift dives. Participants must already hold Open Water and Nitrox certifications and present both cards at check-in. The course requires at least two students, and the first meeting with the instructor takes place at Jupiter Dive Center. Gear and tanks are not included. Each diver must bring a surface marker buoy, dive computer, compass, knife or cutting device, slate, and reel. Some specialties may call for extra items, such as a camera for underwater photography, which will be discussed when finalizing your adventure choices. Tuition is $629 plus the cost of the online academics. A customizable schedule can be arranged for an additional $130, and a private class is available for $859. New sessions are offered every three weeks. After finishing this course, many divers choose to continue with Rescue Diver training to expand their abilities even further.
