IMAG History & Science CenterSongs of the Folk in Concert! Dennis Michael Opens
A.T. and Lauren Cason, raised in different parts of the Carolinas and united while studying music in college, have performed together ever since. Their blend of formal training and Carolina Piedmont roots shapes a contemporary American folk sound informed by Southern folk, country, and blues. After releasing several singles, the EP Songs of the Folk, and their debut album Sun-Scorched Land, they are preparing a second LP titled In the Old Kingdom. The album was recorded in distinctive historic spaces, including a centuries-old converted barn in Maldon, Essex and St. Michael’s in Woodham Walter, a Church of England parish chapel built in the 1500s. Their performances weave storytelling with fingerstyle guitar and finely tuned harmonies, creating an intimate connection that leaves listeners feeling welcomed into their musical world. They also carry their songs to people in difficult circumstances through their nonprofit For the Folk, sharing music in places like homeless shelters, rehab centers, and prisons. ACMA member Dennis Michael opens the show. A soulful artist from Long Island, New York, he fuses folk, blues, and indie influences, drawing on experience as a session musician, writer, and collaborator with Caprice Records and RockMill Studios. His work centers on heartfelt narratives of love, loss, and self-discovery, delivered with evocative lyrics and rich melodies. Door donations are $15 for members and $20 for general admission, and tickets are available at the door.

An invite-only BookTok girls night celebrates romance-obsessed reading culture with a cozy mobile bookstore, aesthetic bookish vendors, and tattoos inspired by beloved characters, memorable quotes, and fan-favorite designs. It is tailored for readers who cherish morally gray love interests, annotated margins, and dramatic tropes like late-night just-one-more-chapter momentum, enemies to lovers sparks, brooding shadowed heroes, and well-worn pages marked with highlights. Attendance is limited to 100 women. A $25 registration fee is required to reserve a spot and includes hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, and an exclusive BookTok-themed swag bag.
The Queen of Bingo
Drawing on the classic Harvey Korman and Tim Conway sketches from The Carol Burnett Show, this lively stage comedy follows sisters Sis and Babe, both past 50, as they look to add some spark to their days and find it through bingo. Written by Jeanne Michels and Phyllis Murphy, the story riffs on family dynamics, fad diets, widowhood, hot flashes, and the thrill of a win, with two male performers bringing the spirited duo to life. During the Middle Bird Special, the audience joins an actual bingo round, and one participant takes home a complimentary 10 pound frozen turkey at each performance. Aimed at audiences of all ages, The Queen of Bingo serves up quick laughs and cheeky fun.
