A free, all-ages concert by the United States Air Force Band of the West will take place at Peabody Auditorium. The U.S. Air Force Bands are composed of highly trained professional musicians who serve as musical ambassadors for the Air Force and the United States. Their mission also supports cultural diplomacy, strengthening relationships with allied and partner nations. Members come from leading universities and conservatories and uphold Air Force heritage and core values. The performance will be led by Captain David Neil C. Regner, commander and conductor of the Band of the West. He leads 60 airman-musicians in hundreds of engagements across the Southeast to honor service members and veterans, inspire future service, and connect communities with their Air and Space Forces. He oversees the organization, training, and equipping of the unit to communicate key Department of the Air Force messages at home and to build partnerships abroad. His experience includes community, diplomatic, and ceremonial missions across multiple countries and states, reaching a combined broadcast and live audience of more than 50 million people. Before commissioning, he taught high school band at Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, New York, and he holds music degrees from Rutgers University and Northwestern University.

Christmas in July - Downtown Ormond Beach

An annual summertime celebration of shopping and dining fills Historic Ormond Beach with a holiday-in-July vibe. Nearly fifty restaurants, shops, and galleries in the heart of downtown coordinate a single day of special offers, tastings, live music, family activities, artist markets, giveaways, and more. A district map and a full schedule will be shared soon, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making the rounds to visit businesses. An Elf Scavenger Hunt adds extra fun. Participants search for hidden elves at participating locations, gather at least six unique store initials from the directory, and can earn a bonus entry by making one purchase and presenting the receipt when turning in the hunt. Completed maps may be dropped off at the Ormond Main Street office, with a drawing to follow. Many stops will feature kid friendly fun, including interactive games. Jewels Rule Summer Camp for Ages 6-11

Young makers explore the art of jewelry design at Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens in a summer camp created for ages 6 to 11. Participants craft wearable art, including bold pendant necklaces, bendable bracelets, and shimmering earrings to keep or give as gifts. They select metals and other materials, learn to form their own beads from unexpected sources, and work with supplies like polymer clay, beads, and charms to create colorful pieces that express their style. Everyone finishes with a collection of handcrafted jewelry and a small dish for trinkets. Campers must be at least 6 years old at the start or have completed Kindergarten to enroll, and should bring a snack and a drink for the daily break. Tuition is $150 for museum members and $165 for those who are not yet members. Spaces are filled in the order they are received, and families receiving SNAP food assistance may apply for scholarship support.

Caitlyn Montgomery, Education Coordinator from The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Science & History, leads a talk at the Shores Community Center about the plants and animals that support a thriving environment. Find out which plants you can grow in your own garden or yard to attract vital pollinators. Part of The Brown’s Museum in Motion, this outreach program continues the museum’s community offerings while the building is temporarily closed for construction. This program is free with registration, and space is limited.

Tiny Tots | Marine Discovery Center

This hands-on Tiny Tots program, created with The Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia, is tailored for children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers to explore early learning through play and stories. Participants connect with early learning experts in an interactive format while rotating through craft stations and a shared story time. Each segment aligns with key developmental milestones, supporting fine motor skills, problem solving, and language growth. Every child receives a copy of the themed book to enjoy at home. Advance RSVP is required online. Participation is limited to Brown Museum members and is free with registration.
