White Springs Public Library hosts DIG. READ. DISCOVER., the primary weekly event in its summer reading program. During the summer, outside presenters offer educational and entertaining sessions, ranging from learning about archeology with FPAN to meeting the Hamilton County K9 unit and hearing how they track missing people.
Tinkerlab
At the Main Library, Tinkerlab is an all-ages crafting session centered on open-ended creativity. A shared table will be stocked with a variety of materials to choose from, allowing participants to build a project of their own design. No reservation is required.
Columbia County Public Library - Main LibraryHand Building Clay - Flag Plate
Create a flag plate using simple hand-building techniques at Gateway Art Gallery. Participants shape and form their pottery by hand, with guidance to craft a piece that is uniquely theirs. After class, the instructor will take the work home for a bisque firing, and pieces will be ready for pickup later, often timed with an optional glazing session that can be added. Glazing dates will be chosen together during class.
