EasySpeak SpiritsBad Moon Rising
Bad Moon Rising, from Classic Tributes Live, presents a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, the American roots rock group whose blend of southern, country, and blues influences helped define swamp rock. The show highlights the distinctive vocals, searing guitar work, and songwriting tied to John Fogerty and revisits the blazing stretch around 1969 to 1971 that yielded fourteen Top 10 singles in a row and five consecutive Top 10 albums, with two reaching number one. It traces the story from a headlining appearance at the 1969 Woodstock Festival through the acrimonious breakup in 1972 and beyond, weaving in playful nods that carry listeners up the bend, through jungle heat and bayou moods, back to Green River, gazing out the back door, down at the corner, and into the rain, so the spirit of being a fortunate one and Proud Mary rolling on comes through.
