Superstars Competition Baton Team Fundraiser
This fundraiser at Pizza Ranch Norwalk features the Superstars Competition Baton Team, who will be on site greeting guests and helping in the dining room as they raise money for competition travel. Purchases and tips support their efforts. The restaurant buffet makes dinner simple, and the upbeat, family friendly atmosphere adds to the experience while backing dedicated young athletes.
Pizza Ranch (FunZone Arcade - Norwalk)Healthy Brain Series: Secrets of the Blue Zones
At Fairfield Woods Library, a Dementia Specialist from Hartford Healthcare's Center for Healthy Aging leads a five-part program focused on practical ways to support brain health over time. This session highlights Secrets of the Blue Zones, exploring daily habits linked to longevity and how those practices relate to maintaining a healthy mind. The broader series also addresses everyday activities that keep thinking sharp, how nutrition supports memory, the importance of staying socially engaged and purposeful, and the role of restorative sleep. One registration covers the entire series, and attending all sessions is recommended for the greatest benefit. The presenter brings a background in gerontology and community education, including experience providing training through the Alzheimer’s Association.
