Block 93 & North Cascade AvenueRally Point - May 2nd
At Sovereign Roots: Veterans Retreat, this gathering centers on Grounding, also called Roots II. The focus is on doing what is right in front of you with full attention, a practical way to regulate your system, clear your head, and reconnect when stress climbs. The evening begins with a shared meal, then moves to a circle around the fire for a short conversation about what grounding really means. Later the fire winds down, and quiet hours start for cabin guests. Participants are invited to reflect on what once restored focus during service, such as strength training, a run, weapons maintenance, letter writing, music in the barracks, breaking down and reassembling gear, or catching the sunrise before a mission. The discussion also explores what offers steadiness now, whether it is working with your hands, hunting, building projects, gardening, breathing practices, therapy, time by the fire, or being with your kids. This event is open to all veterans. Immediate family members are welcome to attend, share the meal, and either join a Family Support Group or sit in with the main circle if a facilitator is not available. To prepare, bring a sturdy chair for the fire ring since seating may be limited, dress for the weather because it continues rain or shine, and bring an open mind with quiet respect for the people beside you. Weehawken Dance & Aerial brings Cinderella to the Montrose Pavilion in a large scale, fully staged production guided by artistic director Natasha Pyeatte. Across six performances with six unique casts, nearly 400 dancers of varying ages and experience levels bring the classic tale to life. Ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, aerial, and additional styles blend to create a lively theatrical experience presented for the public as a full production rather than a studio recital. Performers train and appear in a professional setting that features imaginative sets, creative staging, striking costumes, polished dancing, and a playful soundtrack with surprises. Familiar characters and moments appear throughout, from comic stepsisters and tiny dancing pumpkins to a charming prince and the magic of transformation. When the carriage arrives and Cinderella enters the ballroom, the story unfolds with warmth and wonder. Matinee performances spotlight many of the youngest dancers. One weekday evening also includes younger performers, while other evening shows emphasize the full scope of the production and primarily feature mid to upper level dancers. Because multiple casts are in rotation and ticket purchases are final, buyers should confirm which performance includes their dancer before completing a purchase. A ticketed livestream option will be available through Weehawken’s website prior to each show.

Black Canyon Golf CourseHarmonize Your Horsemanship: 2-Day Clinic
This two-day clinic in Montrose, CO centers on Harmonized Horsemanship for people seeking to deepen the horse and human relationship through presence, energetic awareness, and ethical, horse-centered training. The experience blends philosophy, close observation, and direct participation, honoring each horse and person’s starting point without pressure or performance goals. The first day is an auditing day focused on philosophy, demonstrations, and energetic communication. Jess works with different horses to reveal moment-to-moment decision making, how energy is used in dialogue with the horse, and how the horse’s emotions and nervous system shape each session. Group teaching and guided exercises help participants reconnect with their bodies so they can be more regulated and available partners. A thorough Q and A invites questions about individual horses, personal horsemanship, or broader topics, with responses grounded in the Harmonized Horsemanship approach. Auditor capacity is 15, and tickets are $100. The second day is for six horse and human pairs in private, groundwork-based sessions, with the option to focus on steps that prepare for riding if that is useful. Each pair receives one-on-one support that meets them where they are, without any pressure to perform or reach a specific benchmark. The emphasis stays on communication, emotional regulation, and clarity rather than outcomes. Participation in the first day is required. Day 2 tickets are $300 per pair and include a full day of auditing, an additional Q and A, and the private session. Auditors from the first day may also audit the second day for an additional $50. Pre-registration is required for both auditors and participants. To register, contact Gina at fortheloveofaria19@gmail.com or 303-517-3428.

Sidelines Sports BarRally Point - Jun 13th
This gathering explores the theme of Strength, treating it not as aggression but as capability... the capacity to carry physical, emotional, and moral weight without buckling. Conversation invites reflection on what sustained you in hard moments, whether that was loyalty to the team, a refusal to be the weak link, pride, discipline, competence, channeling anger into useful energy, or commitment to the mission. It also looks at what kept you moving when quitting felt easier. Participants take stock of present strengths such as patience, steady emotions, a solid work ethic, leadership, adaptability, integrity, and the ability to tolerate discomfort, while considering where strength is real and where it might be a mask. The evening begins with a shared meal, with food provided. Afterward, The Fire Ring gathers peers who break into small groups for a brief look at grounding. The official fire winds down later, followed by quiet hours for cabin guests. This event is open to all veterans. Immediate family members are welcome to attend, share the meal, and participate in the Family Support Group, or take part in the main fire if a facilitator is not available. A sturdy chair for the fire ring is helpful, as available seating may be limited. Plan for the weather, since it goes on rain or shine. Bring an open mind and quiet respect for the person beside you.
