Music Kids is based on the Orff Schulwerk method of musical education, which focuses on improvisation, body percussion, and vocal expression. Using drums and assorted percussion instruments, children develop the ability to recognize and play rhythmic patterns. An enrolled parent/guardian must be present and attentive at all times. Free general admission seating is available, and VIP or reserved options will be released soon. The event welcomes all ages. Seating is first come, first served, and guests are asked to choose tables that fit their group or share when possible. Chairs are not for storage. Large parties or those with special needs may request arrangements through the venue’s website. The grounds feature yard games, a mix of shaded and sunny seating, patios with misters, cabanas with couches, and wide turfed areas with plenty of tables and chairs. The festival runs alongside the city’s complimentary celebration in the surrounding area, which offers a dozen-plus food trucks, more than 30 vendors, two additional stages, and inflatable attractions for kids. Summer Music Evenings at Sunflower Farm pair live music with a food truck while the animals and regular Farmfest activities remain open for a laid-back night on the farm. This edition features the Foggy Memory Boys on the Sunflower Farm stage, a New Mexico string band known for strong lyrics, memorable melodies and a tight musical chemistry that blends bluegrass roots with contemporary sounds. Their energetic performances, smooth vocal harmonies and engaging presence shape a style they call Southwest psychedelia, inspired by the sage and sandstone of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The group took shape on Stage 5 at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival and has been making waves across the New Mexico music scene. Dinner will be available from Craugh Food Truck, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic beverages and snow cones. Chairs, blankets and the whole family are welcome for an evening of local music at Sunflower. If child tickets are unavailable, choose adult tickets instead.

ArtWalk on Main is a street-wide celebration of arts, culture and community. Produced by the Firehouse Art Center, it features an art market, live music and a variety of performers, along with participation from local merchants and area non-profits offering interactive activities. Six stages showcase music and other performances for all ages. Visitors can meet Longmont artists, explore work across mediums including ceramics, jewelry and more, and take part in hands-on projects at many booths. Galleries welcome festivalgoers, including those in Old Town Marketplace, and artists create new pieces inside the historic Callahan House. Families can enjoy face painting and balloon swords, and Maker Village offers make and take demonstrations led by TinkerMill and the SVVSD Innovation Lab. There are ten different food trucks. Longmont youth can borrow a digital camera at the Longmont Youth Center booth to photograph the event. Centennial State Ballet dancers pose while Longmont artists draw, paint and sculpt, with the finished pieces headed to a Firehouse Art Center pop-up exhibit benefiting the ballet.
