Take the stage at Bootstrap Brewing for an open stage hosted by Denny Driscoll. Reserve a 30-minute slot in advance at Longmont’s longest-running open stage and share your act. An emcee, PA, and a dedicated sound engineer are provided so you can focus on performing. Bring a thumb drive to have your set recorded, and use the setup to capture video of your performance. Each member receives a complimentary beer.

FREE Line Dance Lesson (Every 2nd and 4th Monday)

Enjoy a lively evening of line dancing designed for everyone, from first-time learners to seasoned dancers. The atmosphere centers on easy-to-follow steps, upbeat music, and plenty of energy. It is open to all ages, and no partner is needed.

Life Drawing- Monday nights

A weekly life drawing session at the Firehouse, presented in collaboration with Art of Modeling. This open-studio experience features a mix of quick gestures and longer poses, allowing artists to practice in their own style without instruction. Chairs and tables are provided, and while charcoal and paper are available, supplies are limited, so bringing personal drawing or water-based materials and a personal easel is recommended. Participants are asked to clean their workspace at the end. Capacity is limited, and discounted pricing is available for Firehouse Artist members. Doors open shortly before the session and close shortly after it begins. Models are scheduled through Art of Modeling, and substitutions may occur based on availability.

Heaven & Earth Qigong - Beginner

Designed for newcomers and those continuing to grow their practice, this beginner session centers on the Heaven and Earth two-movement set. Gentle, flowing exercises help release areas of tension, support healthy blood flow, nourish the joints, and circulate qi throughout the body. A new student special is offered, with the first session free for any beginner or intermediate class and no preregistration required. The focus is on keeping Tai Chi, Qigong, and meditation accessible to all.

This culinary adventure allows participants to create various snacks and dishes. Attendees can bond as they enjoy their food creations together. A small lunch/snack is provided daily, and participants should bring their own water bottle.

Cats & Calligraphy

Explore modern calligraphy in a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop led by Hilary of Lettered & Local at Elevated Cat Café in Longmont. Learn foundational strokes, build letters, and connect them into words, then get guidance on starting your own projects along with tips for practicing at home. Adoptable cats will be roaming the space, adding a cozy and playful vibe throughout the class. All supplies are included and yours to take home so you can keep creating after the workshop. Elevated Cat Café is a nonprofit that provides a comfortable home for cats awaiting adoption. Tickets are $65, and $6 from each ticket supports the cats’ care, covering essentials like food, litter, toys, and daily attention. Seating is limited to keep the experience comfortable for both people and cats. This session suits cat lovers, creative beginners, and anyone interested in a unique, low-pressure creative experience.

Play with Clay

Enjoy a relaxed, creative session at the Firehouse Art Center Ceramics Studio designed for anyone interested in working with clay by hand. Friendly demos support beginners, and those with experience can focus on their own projects. The fee is 15 dollars and includes up to 5 pounds of clay plus bisque firing for the pieces you make. After firing, you can take your work home to paint or bring it to a future session to add glaze. Projects are limited to handbuilding. Glaze tickets cover glaze only, not clay. Participants 14 and under must attend with a paid, participating adult. As this class often sells out, cancellations require at least 48 hours notice for a refund.

The Montster Mash - Group Bike Ride!

A weekly social group ride loops around Longmont, starting from the shop, with the focus squarely on fun. All bikes and all riders are welcome, and the pace is no drop. Typical routes cover about 8 to 20 miles and include a midway stop to relax, catch up with friends, meet new people, or enjoy a beverage. The route is mostly on bike paths with a few optional singletrack sections. While designed with adults in mind, kids may participate at a parent’s discretion. Bring lights and BYOB, and expect a lively party atmosphere. Plans are weather dependent, and updates will be posted if conditions are poor.

Foundational Qigong - Beginner

Community Breast Ultrasound Screening

Take a proactive step in breast health with a community ultrasound screening from HerScan at The Vein Connoisseurs PLLC event meeting room. Ultrasound can significantly enhance detection, especially for dense breast tissue, and can reveal abnormalities that may not be seen with mammography or physical exams. Appointments are designed to be fast, affordable, and convenient. The exam is painless, involves no radiation, is compatible with implants, and is interpreted by a radiologist, and no prescription is required. Each appointment includes imaging of both breasts and the underarm area, plus the radiologist’s reading, for a total of $295, a service valued as high as $1,100.

Wedding professionals in and around Longmont are invited to a free networking meetup at Bricks on Main Longmont. Planners, DJs, caterers, florists, photographers, venue teams and other wedding industry specialists can connect over breakfast, take part in introductions, and exchange business cards. This kickoff gathering aims to gauge interest in forming the Longmont Wedding Association, which would organize events, promote members, and help couples planning in the area find the resources they need. "Hub and Spoke" Business Networking Group in Longmont

Winner’s Circle in Longmont is partnering with local business leader Mark Solomon on a recurring networking series that brings several business communities together in one place. The format begins with a concise 20-minute business briefing covering practical topics such as leadership, sales strategy, hiring, and community impact. After the briefing, participants move into focused breakout tables where veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, nonprofit organizations, and general entrepreneurs, including existing businesses and startups, can exchange ideas, share resources, and build connections. Experience The Max Meditation System™, a method that blends ancient wisdom with modern science to support deeper relaxation, sharper focus, and mental clarity. Buckle Series Open Horse Show

The Johnstown Saddle Club hosts a Buckle Series open horse show judged by Kim Madson. Riders can compete in English classes including showmanship, equitation, and show hack, as well as Western classes such as showmanship, horsemanship, pleasure, ranch riding, reining, and the new ranch trail. Age divisions include Leadline, 10 & Under W/T, 8-10, 11-13, 14-18, 19-44, and 45 & over. Daily high points and class ribbons are awarded in each division. Entry fees are $7 per class for members and $10 per class for non-members, plus a $5 office fee. Centered on empathy, this service project focuses on remodeling the Hope for Longmont center. Secular Haven will carry out essential repairs to improve the facility and assist staff and clients.

Produce in the Park

Enjoy a free, walk-up food distribution where no paperwork is required and no questions are asked. Offerings vary with donations and may include fresh fruit and vegetables, prepared deli items, dairy, and baked goods. To support fairness, please bring a standard-size reusable bag and enter the line on arrival. Numbers are given to everyone in line and continue to be distributed throughout the event. Recipients are served in number order and receive a basket to fill with the foods they prefer. A volunteer will help transfer selections from the basket to personal bags at the end of the tables. Anyone wishing for more may rejoin the end of the line for an additional basket, and food will be shared while supplies last. Thank you for supporting this effort and the local community.

Roots and Rhythm

Longmont Chorale closes its season with Roots and Rhythm!, a celebration of Americana, Appalachian, and bluegrass at the Longmont High School auditorium. Special guest band Jerusalem Road powers the music with lively fiddle alongside banjo, mandolin, bass, and percussion, capturing the quick tempos and drive that get feet moving. The program also tips its hat to the genre’s roots, shaped by Scottish dance tunes and jazz influences, for an upbeat experience filled with energy and spirit.

Silly Gooses: Mixed Comedy Mic

A welcoming mixed-format comedy mic returns for spring, now taking place at Pelo’s Deli and Provisions. The event begins with sign ups and continues with a free comedy show. This recurring series also features themed offerings, with improv-focused sets on first Sundays and a free writers workshop on third Sundays. Expect a lighthearted, supportive atmosphere for performers and audiences alike.

Longmont Half & 5k

Choose your challenge in Longmont with two distances to pick from. Take on the half marathon or opt for the 5k, both welcoming to walkers and runners of every ability. As the only half marathon in Longmont, it offers an inviting atmosphere for first-timers and seasoned participants alike.

Pug Meetup

Please note the earlier start time to keep things cooler during the summer. Bring a damp bandana for your dog to help with the heat, and water will be available at the meetup so you can refresh it as needed. Expect a cheerful pug gathering filled with snorts and friendly greetings.

Saddle Series Gymkhana

The Saddle Series Gymkhana features Barrels, Speed Barrels, Flags, Dash, Poles, and Keyhole in that order, plus a new mystery event each month. Exhibition runs are available in every event. Riders compete in age groups that include Leadline, 8 and under, 9 to 11, 12 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 34, and 35 and over. Daily high point awards are presented in each age group, and ribbons are awarded for each class and age division. Class fees are $7 for members and $10 for non-members. Returning for a second year, the Gymkhanas are offered as a Saddle Series for JSC members. To qualify, participants must be members and complete all year end requirements. A saddle will be awarded to the champion in each age group, excluding Leadline. Entry forms are available on the event website.

Sunday Cruiser Ride

A laid-back monthly cruiser ride sets off from the Hooptie Bike Lounge. The group follows a no-drop format, so everyone stays together. Participants of every age and ability level are welcome.

Pride Art Sampler

We are partnering with the Longmont Library and Butterscotch Studios to present an art exhibit for Pride. The pieces in the show will be created over a series of art classes. You will have a chance to experience different mediums from acrylic to clay to fabric. All abilities welcome, no artistic experience necessary. There will be a chance to create your own flag or banner that represents you, experience the power of art to unlock healing and transformation. Youll learn the basics of clay hand building, then build a gnome and if there is time, a mushroom house. There will be a mandala painting class using acrylics.

Break EFX 20th Anniversary

Break EFX marks two decades as a crew while also presenting the 8th annual Mexican Standoff. The celebration wraps up at Bricks on Main Longmont with a 3-on-3 open styles crew battle and a 1-on-1 8 Bucks Krump battle. Ticket information will be announced.

Left Hand Artist Group Monthly Meeting

After Hours Fix a Flat & Happy Hour w Petunia Mafia

A hands-on, skill-building flat repair clinic and happy hour with Petunia Mafia. Mechanics from REEB and Hooptie Bike Lounge guide riders through common situations for both tubed and tubeless setups, including changing a tube, tackling stubborn tire installs, and plugging a tubeless tire while out on a ride. Participants who use tubes can bring a front wheel for practice, or simply observe as the session shifts between demonstration and hands-on instruction based on the group. The discussion also covers the pros and cons of tubed versus tubeless for anyone considering a switch, and the format encourages questions, shared tips, and learning together. Happy hour offers $1 off drinks. Food and beverage options include Hebrew National hot dogs on Vienna buns, additional packaged snacks, REEB Rocky Mountain IPA, Dale’s Pale Ale, PBR, other rotating drafts, gluten free beverages, and nonalcoholic options. Life Drawing- Monday nights

Practice figure drawing in a welcoming, weekly open studio coordinated with Art of Modeling. The session features a progression of poses, from quick gesture warm-ups to longer studies, allowing artists to work at their own pace and in their own style without formal instruction. Chairs and tables are provided, and bringing an easel along with preferred drawing or water-based materials is recommended. Charcoal and paper are available in limited quantities, and participants are responsible for cleaning their area at the end. Capacity is limited, Firehouse Artist members receive discounted pricing, and model assignments are planned in partnership with Art of Modeling and may change based on availability.

Your Stage

Performers can reserve a 30 minute set at Bootstrap Brewing for Longmont’s longest-running open stage, hosted by Denny Driscoll. An emcee, a PA with a sound engineer, and a solid stage setup are provided. Bring a thumb drive to get your set recorded, and take advantage of the space to capture video of your act. A complimentary beer is included for each member of the performing group.

Play with Clay

Enjoy a relaxed handbuilding session at the Firehouse Art Center Ceramics Studio upstairs. All experience levels are welcome, with brief demos available for beginners while others work independently. The $15 fee includes up to 5 pounds of clay and bisque firing for the pieces you create. After firing, pick up your work to paint at home or bring it to a future session to glaze. Projects are handbuilt only. Glaze tickets cover glaze supplies only and do not include clay. Participants 14 and under must attend with a paid, actively participating adult. As this class often sells out, refunds are not available without at least 48 hours notice.

The Montster Mash - Group Bike Ride!

A weekly group bike ride rolls out from the shop to explore Longmont with the emphasis squarely on fun. Riders of all experience levels and any type of bike are welcome, and the pace is no drop. Routes typically cover 8 to 20 miles and include a planned mid-ride stop to relax, chat with old and new friends, or enjoy libations. Expect mostly bike paths with a few optional stretches of singletrack. The ride is geared toward adults, though kids may participate at a parent’s discretion. Bring lights and BYOB. At The St Vrain, The M Factor presents a candid documentary that brings menopause into the open. Annual Mother's Day Tea

Mark Mother’s Day with a refined three-course tea featuring scones, an assortment of tea sandwiches, and a variety of desserts. The experience also includes a self-guided tour of Historic Hoverhome and a special program reflecting on 250 years of American motherhood, highlighting the stories, traditions, and experiences that have influenced generations. Tickets are $70 per person, and proceeds support The St. Vrain Historical Society’s work to preserve Historic Hoverhome for the community. The suggested minimum age is 10. The menu is fixed, and due to limited facilities not all dietary restrictions or food allergies can be accommodated. Items may be prepared or sourced from places that handle nuts, gluten, and other common allergens. A singer, songwriter, and accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he moves between marimba, drums, and vocals to create a show that is both soulful and interactive. His tours have reached major stages across Africa, Europe, Asia, and America, and his performances are known for high energy and a connection that reaches beyond language. The inaugural Sunday Funday Pop-Up Market at Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch brings the community together on the farm with a curated marketplace of local makers offering handmade goods, crafts, boutique finds, and unique treasures. Mother’s Day Axe, Rage, & Relax

Celebrate Mom with a package that pairs a 60-minute axe throwing session with a free Rage Room experience just for her. The price is $50 for two participants for the axe throwing portion, and additional throwers can be added for $25 per person. Miniature Horse Show

Choose your design in advance from four options: sunflower, bumblebee gnome, ladybug, or highland cow, and explore more than 20 color choices to personalize the piece. Gloves are supplied for working with resin, masks are not provided, and bringing your own is welcome. Finished projects require a 24 hour drying period, and a box is provided so creations can be taken home to cure. One drink is included with each ticket.

A returning tradition brings live music and inventive artwork to Wibby Brewing, where creations made from local beverage labels will be available for purchase under the pavilion. The lineup includes Cat Jerky, with more performers to be announced. Artists are welcome to contribute pieces that incorporate local labels and cans, then deliver their work on the day of the event. Sales include a minimum 50 percent commission, with a limit of five pieces per artist. There is no size restriction, and both 2D and 3D works are accepted. Proceeds support the organizers’ largest fundraiser of the year.

Spend a full week immersed in ninja training and friendly games inspired by the Olympic spirit. Campers rotate through obstacle courses, parkour-style challenges, balance lines, rope climbs, trampoline precision drills, accuracy games, and additional skill stations, collecting stickers, badges, and team points as they progress. The week begins with an opening ceremony and team trials, shifts to speed and agility with timed runs, focuses on strength, balance, and grip work, highlights cooperative relays and obstacle challenges, and concludes with medals and a closing celebration. '26 Farmfest Music Evening: Golden Thread Band, Wednesday May 27, 4:30-8:30

Summer Music Evenings offer weekly gatherings on Wednesdays and some Fridays, each night pairing a local band with a food truck while the farm’s animals and regular Farmfest activities remain open for a relaxed night out. The season opens with Golden Thread taking the Sunflower Farm stage. Based in Lyons, Golden Thread blends folk and bluegrass into acoustic storytelling, weaving fiddle, dobro, banjo, mandolin, and guitar into songs rooted in real life. The lineup features Haven Slay on lead vocals and fiddle, Charlie Rose on banjo, guitar, mandolin, and vocals, Adam Hines on dobro and banjo, and Corey Epstein on guitar, vocals, and mandolin. Passport Food Truck will serve dinner, and Palo Coffee & Bar will offer nonalcoholic drinks and snow cones. Guests are welcome to bring chairs and blankets. Part of the Summer Music Evenings series, this Farmfest gathering features The Sweet Lillies on the Sunflower Farm stage. The quartet weaves guitar, viola, upright bass and drums with airy harmonies to deliver storytelling songs, a sound they call String Americana that draws from folk, rock and hip hop. Alongside the concert, the animals and regular Farmfest activities are open for a full night on the farm. Dinner is available from It’s All Greek to Me, and Palo Coffee & Bar serves nonalcoholic drinks and snow cones. Fishing is Fun at Highland Lake!

A free fishing clinic returns to Lorin Mead Park at Highland Lake, offering a structured experience with repeated clinic sessions, dedicated time for event fishing, and a window when food and beverages will be available. Colorado Parks and Wildlife welcomes resident and nonresident anglers of all ages to its annual Free Fishing Weekend, during which a license is not required. All other rules and regulations remain in effect, and outside of that weekend Colorado law requires anyone 16 and older to hold a valid fishing license. Parking is provided at Highland Lake. Please avoid parking on the road shoulder or in private driveways.

FORD vs CHEVY Weekend Extravaganza

A multi-venue celebration of the Ford and Chevy rivalry brings together track thrills, community gatherings and a showcase of standout vehicles. The lineup includes a track day and driver skills competition at Colorado National Speedway, an evening garage party at Collision Brewing Company, a visit to the Shelby Museum and the Canyonball Run Rally, followed by a Ford vs Chevy car show at Boulder County Fairgrounds featuring trophies, entertainment, prizes and music. Spectators are free, advance show registration is $5 and day-of registration is $10, and pre-registered cars receive a free lunch. A special screening of Ford v Ferrari at Canyon Theater is also part of the festivities. The car show includes a salute to America and veterans.

Ladies Only Car Care Workshop

Designed for women, this hands-on car care workshop is led by Tuscany Freeman, a Ford certified mechanical technician, and focuses on the fundamentals of maintenance and roadside readiness in a welcoming environment. The session begins with demonstrations, then participants practice on their own vehicles. Topics include changing a tire, installing a wiper blade, replacing an engine air filter, checking fluids, and measuring tire pressure and tread depth. Wear clothing that can get dirty, and clear the trunk or cargo space so the spare and jack are easy to reach. Gloves and shop towels are provided, along with snacks and a goodie bag to bring home. The workshop wraps up with time to chat and ask questions.

SURIVOR WEEK CAMP

Ark Ninja turns into Ninja Survivor Island for a weeklong camp filled with epic ninja challenges, obstacle missions, team games, and kid-friendly immunity-style competitions inspired by the TV show Survivor. Campers receive a Survivor-style buff, rotate through different tribes across the week, and compete for points, prizes, Spirit Tokens, and bragging rights while staying active and engaged. Monday begins with tribe building, obstacle relays, scavenger hunts, and custom buff design. Tuesday brings timed courses, rope climbs, balance trials, and puzzle missions. Friday wraps up with mega obstacle relays, final team challenges, and a fun vote to see which coach gets pied. Throughout the week, activities build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with plenty of friendly competition and no eliminations. Designed for ages 5 to 12. Pricing is $90 per day or $400 for the full week.

Summer Concert Series: Dogtags

Longmont Museum hosts a free outdoor Summer Concert Series in the Stewart Family Courtyard, a relaxed setting to enjoy music from emerging local artists alongside favorites from Colorado’s music scene as the sun slips behind Longs Peak. The featured act is DOGTAGS, a Denver-based queer soul and jazz collective founded by Regi Worles and Michael Merola, whose relationship is at the heart of the project. This nine-piece ensemble blends trumpet, cello, guitar, bass, piano, drums, and soulful vocals into a sound that celebrates friendship, community, and acceptance. Lawn chairs and picnics are welcome, and the atmosphere is family friendly. Food and beverages are available for purchase on site, and outside alcohol is not permitted. Museum members receive priority seating before the general public.

Let Freedom Run 5k - LONGMONT

Celebrate outstanding individuals by dressing as your favorite American hero. Costumes can honor someone personal like a parent, a figure such as Albert Einstein, or iconic characters like Batman, Superman, or the Powerpuff Girls. The focus is on recognizing people who have done great things and sharing a spirit of greatness together.

'26 Farmfest Music Evening: Liver Down the River, Wednesday July 8, 4:30-8:30

Summer Music Evenings bring live performances, a food truck, and full access to animals and regular Farmfest activities for a relaxed night on the farm. For this edition, Liver Down The River takes the Sunflower Farm stage. The Colorado five piece formed in 2012 and is known for spirited shows that weave original songs with improvisation, moving from bluegrass to funk to spacey explorations. Their roots reach back to river floats, campfires, and late night picking, and they have shared bills with Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Railroad Earth. Songwriting grows from collective adventures, a love of nature, and a drive to keep moving. Wheels on Fire will be available for dinner purchases, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic drinks and snow-cones. Guests are welcome to bring chairs and blankets for comfortable listening during the event.

Part of the Summer Music Evenings series, this night on the Sunflower Farm stage features MaSango, led by award-winning Zimbabwean guitarist, vocalist, and producer Zivanai Masango with Helen Masango. Expect a joyful mix of traditional and contemporary Zimbabwean and Southern African music that connects with listeners of all ages. The farm will be open for its usual Farmfest activities and animal encounters. Dinner can be purchased from Dos Manos Food Truck, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic beverages and snow-cones. Attendees may want to bring chairs and blankets for a comfortable outdoor experience. If child tickets are sold out, adult tickets can be purchased instead.

Everything wraps up with a big finale featuring a mega obstacle course, friendly team competitions, giveaways, and an awards celebration.
