Summer Concert Series: Dogtags

Longmont Museum hosts a free outdoor Summer Concert Series in the Stewart Family Courtyard, a relaxed setting to enjoy music from emerging local artists alongside favorites from Colorado’s music scene as the sun slips behind Longs Peak. The featured act is DOGTAGS, a Denver-based queer soul and jazz collective founded by Regi Worles and Michael Merola, whose relationship is at the heart of the project. This nine-piece ensemble blends trumpet, cello, guitar, bass, piano, drums, and soulful vocals into a sound that celebrates friendship, community, and acceptance. Lawn chairs and picnics are welcome, and the atmosphere is family friendly. Food and beverages are available for purchase on site, and outside alcohol is not permitted. Bluegrass players are invited to a Wernick Method jam camp led by Pete Wernick at Intercambio. Grown Up and Me Music Class

Each Music Kids class includes musical activities using the body, percussion instruments, puppets, drums, rhythm sticks, shaky eggs, parachutes, and movement. The class teaches basic concepts of music and song like pattern recognition, rhythm and keeping a beat, volume dynamics and vocal control, tempo, pitch, melody, rhyme, and structure. Music Kids is based on the Orff Schulwerk method of musical education, which focuses on improvisation, body percussion, and vocal expression. Through song and movement, children learn how to match pitch, experience a steady beat, and sing together. Using drums and assorted percussion instruments, children develop the ability to recognize and play rhythmic patterns. An enrolled parent/guardian must be present and attentive at all times. Front Range Freedom Rescue will be on site with adorable kittens. This free, drive-up food distribution at the Longmont YMCA offers pre-bagged groceries that may include fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared deli foods, dairy, and bakery items, depending on donations received. Please line up on the south side of the parking lot along 9th Ave. If you enter from Lashley, turn right to join the line. If you enter from 9th Ave, turn left to reach the southwest lot in front of the YMCA preschool. Remain in your vehicle or with your bicycle while volunteers bring the bags to you. No forms are required and no questions are asked. To promote equitable access, amounts are based on the number of people in your household, and distribution continues while supplies last.

The Festgarten at Wibby hosts a grunge-forward festival with four bands and a fireworks finale. Live sets spotlight the music of Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Audioslave and Soundgarden, performed by Lounge Fly, American Idiot, Chili Powder, and My Wave. Free general admission seating is available, and VIP or reserved options will be released soon. The event welcomes all ages. Seating is first come, first served, and guests are asked to choose tables that fit their group or share when possible. Chairs are not for storage. Large parties or those with special needs may request arrangements through the venue’s website. The grounds feature yard games, a mix of shaded and sunny seating, patios with misters, cabanas with couches, and wide turfed areas with plenty of tables and chairs. The festival runs alongside the city’s complimentary celebration in the surrounding area, which offers a dozen-plus food trucks, more than 30 vendors, two additional stages, and inflatable attractions for kids. No paperwork is needed and no questions are asked. To support fairness, bring a standard reusable bag and join the line on arrival. The site host gives a number to everyone in line, and service follows that order. When called, each person receives a basket to fill with the foods of their choice. A volunteer will help transfer items from the basket into your bag at the end of the tables. The Johnstown Saddle Club brings the Turquoise Trail Show Circuit to the Boulder County Fairgrounds for the first time, offering a full weekend of riding, competition, and community. The schedule features English and Western classes on the first day, followed by Ranch classes on the second day. Awards include Overall High Point recognition for the top three in each discipline within each age division, along with Youth, 18 and under, and Adult, 19 and over, All-Around Circuit Champion titles for riders who compete in English, Western, and Ranch throughout the weekend. For competitors who show in two age divisions, points from the open age division will not count toward overall weekend totals. Buckles, trophies, ribbons, and additional prizes will be presented. Marcos Hotdogs & Tacos will serve food both days, and the grounds will feature vendors, raffle items, and a roaming Prize Patrol surprising riders with gifts. Day and overnight stalls are available by reservation at 303-884-7480, with day stalls priced at $20 and overnight stalls at $30. '26 Farmfest Music Evening: Foggy Memory Boys, Wednesday July 29th, 4:30-8:30

Summer Music Evenings at Sunflower Farm pair live music with a food truck while the animals and regular Farmfest activities remain open for a laid-back night on the farm. This edition features the Foggy Memory Boys on the Sunflower Farm stage, a New Mexico string band known for strong lyrics, memorable melodies and a tight musical chemistry that blends bluegrass roots with contemporary sounds. Their energetic performances, smooth vocal harmonies and engaging presence shape a style they call Southwest psychedelia, inspired by the sage and sandstone of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The group took shape on Stage 5 at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival and has been making waves across the New Mexico music scene. Dinner will be available from Craugh Food Truck, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic beverages and snow cones. Chairs, blankets and the whole family are welcome for an evening of local music at Sunflower. If child tickets are unavailable, choose adult tickets instead.

Farmfest Saturday August 1st, 9-1pm

Farmfest offers a friendly, hands-on day at the farm. Spend time with favorite barnyard animals, meet baby lambs and goats, and see chickens, peacocks, and ducks strolling among visitors. Beyond the animal areas, explore an old airplane, sand play spaces, bikes, tree houses, playhouses, swings, and John Deere tractors. It is a relaxed outing with plenty to discover and room to explore.

Stationery Store Day Celebration

Celebrate Stationery Store Day, a nationwide salute to independent stationery shops and the simple pleasure of writing by hand. Wolf & Wren becomes a place to make, connect, and discover, with chances to browse distinctive paper goods and writing tools and to meet fellow stationery enthusiasts. Activities unfold throughout the day, including poetry writing, pen pal matching, and a coloring contest for all ages, along with a visit from The Letter Farmer. In partnership with Two Hands Paperie in Boulder, the Boulder County Stationery Passport invites visitors to explore and support the local stationery community. It is a joyful celebration of creativity, communication, and community.

Sunday Soirée: Rio Rosa Plays the Dead A Jerry Garcia Celebration during the days between

The Festgarten at Wibby Brewing presents Rio Rosa for a Sunday Soirée celebrating Jerry Garcia during the Days Between. This event is free and open to all ages. Expect a full matinee set of favorites from the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band to cap the weekend. The lineup includes vocalist Alyssa Medina, guitarist and vocalist Max Mackey, drummer Shaun Gilmour, keyboardist and vocalist Paul Constantine, and bassist Paul "Dr Poz" Cohen. Known for a deep, soulful groove and patient, feel-first jams, Rio Rosa blends classic soul sensibilities with the exploratory spirit of jam music.

Everyone is welcome with no cover charge. The Cruisers perform pop and rock hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond, with pizza, drinks, and a large dance hall available so you can enjoy the music and support the local legion.

ArtWalk on Main -2026

ArtWalk on Main is a street-wide celebration of arts, culture and community. Produced by the Firehouse Art Center, it features an art market, live music and a variety of performers, along with participation from local merchants and area non-profits offering interactive activities. Six stages showcase music and other performances for all ages. Visitors can meet Longmont artists, explore work across mediums including ceramics, jewelry and more, and take part in hands-on projects at many booths. Galleries welcome festivalgoers, including those in Old Town Marketplace, and artists create new pieces inside the historic Callahan House. Families can enjoy face painting and balloon swords, and Maker Village offers make and take demonstrations led by TinkerMill and the SVVSD Innovation Lab. There are ten different food trucks. Longmont youth can borrow a digital camera at the Longmont Youth Center booth to photograph the event. Centennial State Ballet dancers pose while Longmont artists draw, paint and sculpt, with the finished pieces headed to a Firehouse Art Center pop-up exhibit benefiting the ballet.
