The retreat is organized by Tribal Support Network in partnership with the Return to the Heart Foundation.

Wrap up the season with an evening of laughs at Valhalla Boathouse Theatre as the Tahoe Improv Players deliver an entirely improvised comedy show sparked by audience suggestions. Nothing is set in advance, every performance is different, and the biggest laugh might come from an idea shouted from the seats. Marking 33 years, Lake Tahoe’s longest-running comedy troupe brings fast-paced humor and family-friendly entertainment to the Boathouse. It is an easy night out for everyone, including kids, friends, and Labor Day weekend guests. All ages are welcome, and concessions will be available. Seating is limited, and this is the final Tahoe Improv Players performance of the summer at Valhalla. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for Valhalla members, and $12 for children 12 and under.

At Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe, this trail run covers 7 miles, or 11 kilometers, starting at Eagle Point, circling the bay, and following the Rubicon Trail to DL Bliss State Park for a finish at Lester Beach. The route is quick with low to moderate climbing. Competitor Magazine has recognized it as among the most scenic trail runs in the country. Registration includes a shuttle that returns participants from the finish to the start and parking area.

The inaugural Heavenly Village Jeep Flex Festival and Ale Fest with a Chicken Wing Contest brings together a Jeep show and shine, an ale-focused celebration, and a wing competition at Heavenly Village. Live music runs throughout the day, and on-site food and drink vendors add to the family friendly setting. Up to 100 Jeeps can participate in the show and shine at no cost, but spots must be secured in advance by emailing NevadaJeepClub @gmail.com, and space may fill quickly. Tri-Valley Dive Club has organized a friendly campout and diving adventure at Lake Tahoe that welcomes both divers and non-divers. Activities focus on Meeks Bay, with two dives planned there and a light group lunch between them. A short PADI Altitude Diver course is available for those who are not yet altitude certified, combining one classroom session with two training dives in the lake. Divers who already hold altitude certification can buddy up and dive. Campsites have been set aside at Kaspian Campground for those who want to camp, and hotels in Tahoe City offer an option for non-campers. Camping costs $40 per camper, plus a parking fee paid at the campground. The altitude course pricing includes a $111 course fee and a $200 instructor fee. A potluck campfire dinner brings everyone together one evening, and some meals are on your own. The plan wraps up with a nearby lunch stop to allow time for post-altitude off-gassing, with further details covered in the altitude class. Spots are limited.
