Grave Mistakes

Auditions are being held for Grave Mistakes, a stage production under the direction of John Shade. The casting team is considering performers for several characters. Bob is a man in his 50s to 60s who has only just died and is struggling to grasp that reality, a single father who raised his son Ray with deep care that he rarely put into words. Eloise is a woman in her 50s to 60s who has lingered as a spirit in the attic for about a century, regal in bearing and fiercely protective of the space she claims as her realm. Ray, in his 20s to 30s, is Bob’s living son and the editor for Molly, quietly in love with her and prone to unwise decisions when he cannot say how he feels. Molly, a professional novelist in her 20s to 30s, cares for Ray in return but keeps that secret to herself. Jess, also in her 20s to 30s, is Molly’s sister and a fellow writer who pitches in and is anything but timid about matters of the heart. Larry is a sleazy landlord. Guy is a mysterious investigator of the supernatural, part detective and part devoted A/V enthusiast.
