Bruno and Raiza bring their BRiCK Academy Level 1 Improvement Course to Phoenix at the Mesa Institute of Religion. Over five days, participants train for a total of 30 hours, with 25 hours of instruction and 5 hours of supervised practice. The curriculum focuses on the BRiCK methodology for Brazilian Zouk, building skills from the dance’s smallest components to broaden technique, creativity, and choice. This offering is intended for dancers with prior Brazilian Zouk experience. About two years is recommended, though readiness depends on dedication and practice. Enrollment is capped at 15 lead-follow pairs, and a social dance is planned on the final day. Discount codes are available for Phoenix participants, and payment plans are offered. At Jacob’s Mission Community Center, ASA Now offers a monthly food distribution for kinship, foster, and adoptive families. The effort helps caregivers stretch their grocery budgets while creating a sense of safety and care for the children in their homes. For children who have faced food insecurity or trauma, reliable access to nourishing foods can help ease worries around eating and encourage healthier patterns. Caregivers eligible for support include those currently caring for children in foster care and those who have adopted children with prior involvement in the child welfare system. Each Mission Box includes perishable items such as bread, milk, meat, fresh produce, frozen foods, and baked goods, with contributions from Trader Joes, Safeway, Midwest Food Bank, and Panera Bread. This support can also free up resources for a special outing or a needed item that might otherwise be out of reach.

A lively celebration features a one-day Power Sale where the first 500 members can secure the Founding Rate along with exclusive Amped merchandise. Paddle 'n PitchIN

Care for the Lower Salt River in Tonto National Forest by teaming up with the Tonto National Forest Mesa Ranger District River Rangers for a paddle powered cleanup. Volunteers will collect debris along the river while enjoying time outdoors and cooling off on the water. This is a bring your own watercraft effort, and a personal flotation device is required. A volunteer parking pass valid for the duration of the event will be provided, along with trash bags and trash grabbers. Haul back of collected trash is available unless carpooling with other volunteers. Youth are welcome with parental supervision. Put in and take out locations are to be determined and will include Water Users, Pebble Beach, Blue Point, Sheep's Crossing, Goldfield, Phon D Sutton, and Granite Reef. Activities are planned to last about four hours.

Inaugural Heath Ride

Riders will meet at 138, travel to Jake's Corner, continue to Post 58 in Fountain Hills, and return to 138. Entry is $25 for a single rider or $35 for two up. An after party follows with entertainment and raffles. During the event, there will be tastings of Post 138 Ski's Arizona Made Whiskey and Rich Larson Vodka, both made by Outlaw Distillery.

World Pilates Day Fest

Hosted at Scottsdale Entrada Apartments, this Pilates and wellness festival honors World Pilates Day with a full lineup of movement and relaxation. This session explores Kumihimo, a Japanese method of braiding cords by interlacing multiple strands. The term means gathered threads, with kumi referring to braid and himo to cord. Historically, these braids were used for samurai armor, garments, and religious ornaments, and the craft offers a calm, creative experience. In the SCA, these cords are often used for clothing closures and for award cords. Instruction covers setting up a Kumihimo disc and thread, along with guidance through at least four cord patterns. Participants can bring their own materials or purchase a $5 kit, with only eight kits available. Recommended supplies include a Kumihimo disc, cotton crochet thread in two different colors at about three yards each, for example blue and white, eight bobbins with clothespins as a workable substitute, and a weight such as a large nut or a stack of large washers from a hardware store.

In 2025, the event raised more than $30,000 to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, and this year aims to build on that impact.
