Be Awesome presents a free morning centered on learning, community, and encouragement with three concurrent workshops led by knowledgeable professionals. One session explores child and teen behavior while sharing practical strategies to strengthen relationships and build confidence. Another helps families understand school supports such as 504 plans and IEPs and offers guidance on advocating for a student’s success. A third focuses on recognizing suicide warning signs, opening caring conversations, and supporting youth mental health. Sawtooth Mountains Trail Cleanup

Participants will help keep the Sawtooth Mountains open for current and future offroaders by removing litter along a range of offroad trails. The group will gather at Tumblebeans, then head out for an approximately four hour cleanup focused on fun and stewardship. Trails range from 1 to 5 in difficulty, with the Widowmaker climb at the top of the scale, and some Arizona pinstriping is likely. The plan includes a stop to rest and clear the sides and top of the steep Widowmaker hill. Those not comfortable with the climb can skip that portion. The club will provide trash bags. Please bring a bucket, a trash grabber, and gloves, and wear closed shoes with traction. A rake and shovel are helpful additions. Communication will be on GMRS channel 7. Ed Whitehead's Tire Pros will handle tire disposal at no cost, and R&M Customs is providing water and planning quantities accordingly. Everyone who participates will be entered in a thank you raffle. This is a drug and alcohol free run, including weed for both drivers and passengers. An Arizona Land Use Permit is required.

Sanctuary Explorers Summer Program

Sanctuary Explorers is a six-week homeschool summer program at Central Arizona College, Maricopa Campus, created for families who want their children engaged, learning, and connected throughout the season. Each week features art and Spanish, with Spanish led by a native speaker, and visiting guest experts guide hands-on activities in areas like wilderness survival, STEM, and social emotional learning. Flexible enrollment options are available. The Founding-Family Pass covers the full six weeks for $997 for the first eight spots, then $1,097 once those fill, and is billed in two installments. Weekly Sessions are $225 when space is available and include the same daily schedule and activities along with a Weekly Parent Snapshot email.
