A community paint session welcomes anyone looking for a social atmosphere to work on tabletop miniatures, from the tiny figures your dungeon master uses to Warhammer armies that need color. Paint, tools, and brushes are provided, and use of the paint station is a $10 fee. Once each month there is a special session especially for newcomers, which includes instruction and a free practice mini. For that session, the normal $10 fee supplies a standard size mini for first timers, and $15 provides a large mini.

Life Line Screening presents a preventive health event at Radison Hotel focused on identifying risk factors for stroke, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic conditions. Since 1993, the organization has provided annual screenings to help individuals better understand their health. The screening package features a carotid artery ultrasound to look for plaque buildup, an abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound, a heart rhythm check using a quick 6-lead EKG on the arms and legs to detect irregular heartbeat such as atrial fibrillation, and a peripheral arterial disease evaluation of the lower extremities. Sawtooth Mountains Trail Cleanup

Help keep the Sawtooth Mountains accessible for offroaders during a group trail cleanup that meets and departs from TumbleBeans. All types of offroad vehicles are welcome, and participants are asked to stay with the group and follow the leaders. The outing is slow paced. Trails range in difficulty from 1 to 5, with 5 being the Widowmaker climb. Expect some Arizona pinstriping. There will be a stop at the base of the Widowmaker for a break and to clear litter from the sides and top of the steep hill, and climbing it is optional. The focus is simple... have fun while picking up trash. The club provides trash bags. Recommended gear includes a bucket, trash grabber, gloves, and closed shoes with good traction, with a rake and shovel as helpful extras. Bring a GMRS radio tuned to channel 7. Plan for hot weather. Sunscreen is provided by the Casa Grande 4 Wheelers, and bottled water is provided by R&M Customs. Each volunteer receives a raffle ticket as a thank you. Participation for the full duration is not required, and safety is the top priority. The run is drug and alcohol free, including weed, for all drivers and passengers. An Arizona Land Use Permit is required. The cleanup lasts about four hours.

Maricopa's Juneteenth Festival (2026)

Maricopa’s annual Juneteenth festival honors the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates African American culture and heritage with food, music, and community at Central Arizona College’s Maricopa Campus. Families can look forward to a kid zone, live performances, and chances to win raffle prizes. Admission is free. Raffle tickets and bundles are available for purchase, and parking is complimentary. All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges, and tickets are not transferable. The celebration takes place in Building A, Room A102 on campus. Vendors, sponsors, performers, artists, and volunteers are invited to apply. Vendor participation is not automatic, as selections are handled by the Special Events Department to prevent duplicate offerings. Selected applicants will receive next steps, including payment and document deadlines. If a booth is purchased before selection and the application is not approved, registration fees will be returned. All required documents must be submitted by email in PDF format.

Legion Auxiliary Spaghetti Dinner

At Coolidge American Legion Post 54, enjoy a hearty spaghetti supper with house-made sauce over pasta, a side salad, and the Legion’s garlic bread. The price is $12 and includes unlimited helpings. This public dinner is offered monthly, with breaks during major holiday months, and continues while supplies last. The bar is open to the public as well.

Dirty Boots and Dollars fundraiser - Saddle up, Maricopa 🤠

Saddle up, Maricopa for the inaugural Dirty Boots and Dollars fundraiser at Duke’s Roadhouse. This community evening pairs dinner and dancing with a purpose, benefiting the Open Arms Vocational Living Center, a nonprofit that equips young men transitioning out of foster care with vocational training, life skills, mentoring, and housing. Tickets are $100. Sponsorships are available, including the Cattleman Sponsor at $1,000 with four tickets and recognition, and the Wrangler Sponsor at $500 with two tickets and recognition. Business owners and community partners can help build momentum for a life changing project that invests in local youth. It is more than a night out, it is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
