Spring Fest & Meet The Teacher Night

This annual celebration combines Meet the Teacher Night with a Spring Fest, all centered on the theme Learning is an Adventure. Art Foundations Class

A structured Art Foundations class for children ages 5 to 12 offers skill-building in a supportive setting at Central Arizona College in Maricopa. Participants practice core principles such as drawing techniques, color theory, and composition while developing creative confidence. Over the course of the quarter, students strengthen technical abilities and learn to approach projects with an artist’s mindset. The term concludes with a student art gallery where each child displays their pieces and shares the ideas behind them, encouraging communication skills and pride in their progress. Space is limited.

Arizona Cutting Horse Association

AZCHA hosts a series of seven events between October and May, each spanning four to six days and showcasing top NCHA sanctioned cutting in the western United States. Cutting is an equestrian sport.

Mini Painting Night

A community paint session welcomes anyone looking for a social atmosphere to work on tabletop miniatures, from the tiny figures your dungeon master uses to Warhammer armies that need color. Paint, tools, and brushes are provided, and use of the paint station is a $10 fee. Once each month there is a special session especially for newcomers, which includes instruction and a free practice mini. For that session, the normal $10 fee supplies a standard size mini for first timers, and $15 provides a large mini.

Family Art Night Adventure

Family Art Night Adventure transforms the Mesquite School cafeteria into a creative space with hands-on stations by grade level, from Kindergarten 2-D flowers to Minecraft selfies, origami frogs, and fifth grade Renaissance animals. Returning vendors support the Mesquite PTO, with Fry’s Kettle Corn serving shaved ice, fresh lemonades, and kettle corn, and Cafesito Boutique offering cold brews and fresh conchas. Exploring every station completes the full art adventure, and vendor purchases contribute to PTO goals.

Minors and Majors baseball and softball players from Casa Grande Little League step up for a Home Run Derby at the Casa Grande Little League Fields. The competition uses machine pitching to keep conditions consistent, with 15 pitches per round and a multi-round elimination format within each player’s current division. Champions are crowned in both Minors and Majors for baseball and softball. The atmosphere is fun, competitive, and family-friendly, celebrating the season and the players’ power and consistency under pressure.

Tapestry through Time Musicale

Maricopa Music Circle joins forces with Maricopa Chorus for a spring concert that journeys through the breadth of Western musical heritage. A conductor-free chamber orchestra and a community choir share the spotlight, weaving a colorful program designed to appeal to listeners of all ages. This performance is set in the Redwood Room at the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center, a new location for the event. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students ages 5 and up.

This virtual trip along the Mother Road will explore the birthplaces of space pioneers, centers of space exploration and discovery, training grounds for Moon-bound astronauts, a well-preserved asteroid impact site, a famous UFO sighting location, and museums celebrating cosmic connections. This event is part of a lecture series celebrating the nations 250th anniversary, exploring Arizonas natural environment and its relationship to our history, culture, and lived experiences.

MERGE band returns to Gallopin' Goose for a live music performance. Guests can enjoy food and drinks from the venue while the band plays, and the dance floor will be ready for dancing.

Dreamy Sunset

Life Line Screening

Life Line Screening presents a preventive health event at Radison Hotel focused on identifying risk factors for stroke, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic conditions. Since 1993, the organization has provided annual screenings to help individuals better understand their health. The screening package features a carotid artery ultrasound to look for plaque buildup, an abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound, a heart rhythm check using a quick 6-lead EKG on the arms and legs to detect irregular heartbeat such as atrial fibrillation, and a peripheral arterial disease evaluation of the lower extremities. Please bring pets secured on a leash, and accommodations will be available to vaccinate cats or dogs that may be aggressive.

Hosted by Itty Bitty Bottle Babies Inc at Pinal County Cowboy Church, this cat spay and neuter clinic offers appointments for owned pets as well as outdoor cats through a Trap, Neuter, Return program. Advance registration is required. Rescue organizations are not eligible to participate. For TNR appointments, cats must arrive in a trap and will be ear tipped, with no exceptions. The clinic supports the organization’s work to care for vulnerable kittens and to reduce pet homelessness through responsible spay and neuter practices. Each appointment helps further ongoing rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts.

Sawtooth Mountains Trail Cleanup

Help keep the Sawtooth Mountains accessible for offroaders during a group trail cleanup that meets and departs from TumbleBeans. All types of offroad vehicles are welcome, and participants are asked to stay with the group and follow the leaders. The outing is slow paced. Trails range in difficulty from 1 to 5, with 5 being the Widowmaker climb. Expect some Arizona pinstriping. There will be a stop at the base of the Widowmaker for a break and to clear litter from the sides and top of the steep hill, and climbing it is optional. The focus is simple... have fun while picking up trash. The club provides trash bags. Recommended gear includes a bucket, trash grabber, gloves, and closed shoes with good traction, with a rake and shovel as helpful extras. Bring a GMRS radio tuned to channel 7. Plan for hot weather. Sunscreen is provided by the Casa Grande 4 Wheelers, and bottled water is provided by R&M Customs. Each volunteer receives a raffle ticket as a thank you. Participation for the full duration is not required, and safety is the top priority. The run is drug and alcohol free, including weed, for all drivers and passengers. An Arizona Land Use Permit is required. The cleanup lasts about four hours.

National Memorial Day Flag Relay Segment 102

Segment 102 is part of the National Memorial Day Flag Relay, a nationwide tribute that honors those who have served. The American flag is carried from state to state to reflect shared respect for the men and women who sacrificed for freedom, strengthening community ties and patriotism. The mission is to move more than 100 U.S. flags across the country on the same day, each traveling about 25 miles in one mile increments, with groups of two or more participants carrying every leg. This segment contributes to the overall journey from Arlington National Cemetery to Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery and adds to a unified salute of remembrance.

3rd Annual Ruck for Fallen

Now in its third year, this 10k hike and ruck at Imagine Prep Coolidge honors fallen brothers and sisters who gave their lives. Participants can choose to carry a backpack or other weight to make the trek more challenging, and veterans may opt to wear boots and plate carriers if they have them. Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes brings the Mobile Business Services Outreach Program to Casa Grande City Hall City Council Chambers, making select business services easier to access for both organizations and individuals. On-site assistance will be available for notarizations and matters related to notary public commissions. Staff can process apostille requests for documents such as birth and death certificates, powers of attorney, affidavits, and copy certifications that need international authentication. Guidance will be offered for registering trademarks and trade names, including business names, logos, and slogans, and filings under the Uniform Commercial Code will be accepted. Support will also be provided for limited partnership paperwork, including LPs, LLPs, and LLLPs. A lunch break will take place during the day.

This women-focused handgun course uses a hybrid format that emphasizes hands-on instruction and getting more rounds downrange. Annual Mustang Drive and Dine to Mt Lemmon 2026

Mustang enthusiasts set out from Southwestern Eye Center for a cool mountain drive to Mount Lemmon followed by a casual meal. The plan includes a quick stop at a McDonald’s to meet up with participants from Tucson, then a climb along winding roads to the ski lift parking lot for a group photo before heading back down and continuing to Famous Sam’s Sports Grill. Held annually for the past ten years, this tradition brings new mustangers into the mix each time and centers on shared road time, scenic views, and good conversation.

Maricopa's Juneteenth Festival (2026)

Maricopa’s annual Juneteenth festival honors the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates African American culture and heritage with food, music, and community at Central Arizona College’s Maricopa Campus. Families can look forward to a kid zone, live performances, and chances to win raffle prizes. Admission is free. Raffle tickets and bundles are available for purchase, and parking is complimentary.
